  1. Was anyone told how long you'd be out of commission? Not just for work and strenuous tasks, but driving- ok, ESPECIALLY driving?
  2. Wow!! You are doing great!!! DAY FIVE!!!! That's a huge accomplishment!! Go Kathy!!! What's your surgery date?
  3. Maggie, my dr requires the day before surgery be a "clean out" day. Lol. I decided to take that day off work
  4. Congratulations!! My insurance company told me Friday that they had all my stuff, but it was being reviewed still...sigh...praying for an approval Monday or Tuesday!!
  5. That's sooo what I do!! I love to see Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, and Gap websites!! I'm mildly obsessed...do you Pinterest? The Women's Fashion boards are addictive!!
  6. I totally understand... I think it's like having kids...the days go by slow, but the months go by quick!! It'll be here in no time! I say that, but I'm going to need you to remind ME in a few days when my official count down begins!!
  7. Several people have said Sentax Nectar mixes were good...Vitamin Shoppe has them in sample sizes, so I bought one chocolate and one vanilla...hope they are as good as everyone says.
  8. I, too, have been overweight moat of my life. When the Nut asked me what was my ideal weight, I just sort of looked at her like...uh, the smallest I ever remember being as an adult is 227.
  9. Hey Molly, Isopure is expensive (about $3-$4 per bottle), but the good thing is you can buy one bottle at a time to see what you like without being stuck with a case of something.
  10. I'm hoping I can officially become part of this group soon!! My Dr's office should have an answer by Wednesday! #fingerscrossed!
  11. That's AWESOME!!! I'm waiting on my approval, so I'm feeling very anxious and nervous too! I guess excitement will come with approval!! Can't wait to hear your date!
  12. I imagine sleep will not come easy for you the next several days!! I'm finding it tough to quiet myself, and I'm simply waiting on approval!! I will be WIRED three days before my surgery!
  13. I've bought (and saw several YouTube recommendations) Adult Liquid Tylenol. I couldn't find it anywhere but CVS.
  14. Congrats Big Lou!! Keep us posted!!
  15. I am pre op...my insurance company has my packet and are reviewing for approval...hoping for a super fast approval!!
  16. Bbdoodle, I can...and I even thought about just fasting for two days before the liquid diet...I wouldn't want Phentermine to interrupt anything for surgery.
  17. First of all, congratulations on quitting smoking!!! I'm glad you understand about the small number of pounds being such a pain in the butt!!
  18. Jessy, welcome!! You will be so glad you came here!! There is a REAL wealth of information that the members readily share. I have learned soo much just reading their answers!! I'm 33 and health other than my weight. I had to do a physical with my PCP, annual with my GYN, Endoscopy with Gastro, Psych eval with PSY, nutrition counseling, attend an informational seminar with surgeon and meet him one on one. I'm also planning to stop in on his support group that meets once a month. His office finally submitted everything to my insurance on Wednesday, so I'm EAGERLY AWAITING APPROVAL! Again, welcome!
  19. I have to get down to my initial consultation weight. I'm only up four pounds (which I consider nominal) but my surgeon won't operate if I am still up. Should I take an appetite suppressant to help for the next couple weeks?
  20. I hope you don't give up. I hope you can find someone willing to operate on you. Good luck!
