Clothing Size Wishes
jenneliza replied to michelecaples's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Started at 28/4x am now almost 5 months out and in 14 pants and large or xl tops. Dream size 2 but realistically 6. I will just be happy to be single digits!! -
I think you look great but if you don't feel that way is what matters. If you have the means to do so, think of it as a reward you DESERVE for accomplishing the weight loss and an investment in your self confidence. I'm still 50 pounds to goal weight but plan on fixing my belly boobs and arms each year with tax returns.

Me too... Crazy PMS... I just started a new job and the girls in my new department must think I'm nuts. I'm snappy and sensitive. Not the best first impression. Am going to talk to my PCP about birth control or something to try and even out the hormones. Good luck to us all and let me know if you find out about any ways to help this.

My surgeon and nutritionist both said that they can stretch the pouch. I did try a sip of almost flat diet Pepsi and it hurt. It was like sandpaper in my pouch. No thanks... I miss it too but just can't do it.

At 3 months post op I am so sick of nasty chewable Vitamins. I did switch to gummy vitamins but I'm so ready to go back to regular vits and add my hair skin and nail back. Can these get stuck? Has anyone gone back to whole pills? When? And how did it go? Thanks

I'm never hungry... not once since surgery! Now that I'm not in ketosis anymore my body tells me when it's been four or five hours since eating. Its hard to describe. Not hunger or pain and not really low blood sugar. Just a vague feeling. Maybe still head hunger which is very real. But no, no true hunger. Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk

At four months out I vary widely from 400-800 daily. Today I skipped lunch (bad I know but busy at work) so only had 250. Not a good idea... Actually have more energy when closer to 600-800!

I love that stuff too! Also when I want something not sweet a little black pepper on cottage cheese is great too

I just started running c25k and am loving it. But it's been 10 years since I really ran regularly and that was in a warmer climate. So...I live inPA and will now be running in 20-45 degrees for the next few months. Here goes... How do you keep your nose from running nonstop or do you just bring tissues? What is the best way to keep your face from getting windburn or chapped. I really don't want to wear a mask or neck gaiter. What is the best to eat/ drink the night before and morning of a big run bc the old days of eating lots of Pasta are gone! Any other good tips? Thanks! Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk

I've tried this...not bad when you have a craving but it took me at least 2 months to tolerate a 1/4 cup due to the lactose. Wouldn't stock up on too much dairy till you know if you can handle it. Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk

I did the same thing and by the end of my two week mandatory I was so burnt out and really missed foods. But it is good practice for after. Maybe replace breakfast and lunch with a shake for now if you are really gung-ho and eat normally the rest of the day. Even this would help! Good luck!

Sandy is expected to hit my area by tonight with the worst tomorrow.. And I realized that our storm prep is a little different after RNY. Of course we still need lanterns, Water, batteries, blankets, etc. But no longer will pringles (they store nicely), dried fruit, and granola bars be the key dried foods in our little kit...well they will be there for the kids but not me. It really made me think because over the past 3 months I've lived on yogurt, eggs, cheese, and fish - all of which can't be eaten/stored/prepared without power. So sadly the kit has ready to drink shakes and a tub of Protein powder - yuck! I can't handle beef Jerky and nuts yet because they hurt my pouch still. Any other non-perishable RNY friendly foods out there? I can't think! Thanks in advance
