  1. You can do this! You have done it before and you can do it again! You need support and time. Have you gone to any meetings? Maybe set up an appointment with a therapist. When you are dealing with big issues like losing someone that you love therapy can help. (HUGS)
  2. I had the copper one before and had it removed for the same reason, plus it was making my bleeding so heavy that I became severely anemic. GYN recommended I try Mirena because it will cause less bleeding but not if it will keep me from losing weight. GYN told me what you just said about the 5% but I keep seeing complaints about weight gain. Anyway I will give it some time to see what happens. Thanks!
  3. I heard that once the body gets used to it the weight loss will continue....I guess we will have to wait and see huh? :/ Keep me posted.
  4. I have a follow up on Nov 9 I'll bring this issue up then. I hope to get good news. Maybe I am just being inpatient. Thanks!
  5. I had my surgery on 8/20 and lost about 30lbs...Then I had my mirena put in on 9/27 and I have had daily spotting which then turns to bleeding for a few days before resuming to spotting and daily cramping ever since. Not to mention that I haven't lost weight either! I went down to 200lbs and then back to 202lbs and I go back and forth between those 2lbs! Its frustrating! I cant even be intimate because of this...too much worrying about the spotting...I put this in so I wouldn't have to worry!!! Im wordering if anyone else has had this problem? My GYN told me that I will not gain weight but...there are hormones on this thing! Maybe I put this in too soon after surgery? Maybe this just isn't the thing for me? Should I wait a bit and see? Thanks Maria
  6. Any of you gals have weight or bleeding issues after the mirena? I had mine put in a month after surgery and not only have i've been spotting, bleeding and cramping, but I have also not loss anything over 2 pounds since! I'm considering having it removed!
  7. Fingers crossed for you!
  8. Thanks for all the suggestions...I had internet problems and could not reply before. I was finally able to go after a double dose of tea. Ill try MOM next time....
  9. Has anyone used this after surgery?? I haven't had a BM in 4 days and I feel uncomfortable. The tea I drink isn't working and the other meds would take too long,
  10. I'm losing slow but after a long stall I'm just happy that I'm losing! Day of surgery (8/20) 225lbs Today's 202lbs If I keep losing a pound a day like I have been lately, I'll be in onederland before I know it!!
  11. Hope it's nothing big and that you feel better soon...I had a pain like that my 3rd week out...it was just a strained abdominal muscle.
  12. Welcome! Lots of luck to you.
  13. Welcome to the forum... Everyone is great here!
