  2. I had that at the beginning and the suggestion from my dr was I was drinking too quickly. I had to cut back to small sips about 10 min apart. Just be careful not to cut back too much as then I became dehydrated from fear of feeling that way again.
  3. Good luck with the gall bladder. It seems to be all liquids although I can tolerate hot tea a little better. And I'll ask about the other med. Thanks!
  4. Kiwi...I'm having the same issue. I can eat foods but get nauseous from liquids. I know we're not supposed to drink after food but it's the only way I get fluids. They gave me zofran but it's not helping.
  5. Yes they told me to use the heating pad and don't be afraid to take any pain meds they gave you. It will subside after a few days and you won't need either.
  6. Thanks Barebones...they did give me the script for Zofran but I was also trying to tough it out. I think I've gotten in about 20 oz today which was alot for me. Tomorrow I may just have to suck it up and use the meds.
  7. Haven't tried the green tea...thanks for the hint I'm up for anything right now.
  8. I'm having a really hard time with drinking and would like any advice. I've had to receive 3 bags of IV fluids this week from dehydration. When I sip I feel like I'm getting nauseous after 2 or 3 sips. I'm getting very discouraged right now. My dr said next time I'll have to be admitted.
  9. I'm with you...hope someone has some hints.
  10. Hope it works out...they're pretty flexible with you.
  11. You might want to look at Magee Bariatric. I know most men don't think about going but there were several at my visits. They required one class per month which were held in the evenings and took no more than an hour. I only had two pre-op visits and my post op are one week, one month, three month, six month and one year. They are all scheduled for you ahead of time so requesting my days off is already in place through next year.

  13. I'm with you guys. I'm having such a hard time getting in even 16oz a day. Starting to feel weak but think I need a Fluid push. And I'm thinking a lunch able sounds good right now. No problem with foods but darn this liquid stuff.
  14. I'm with the others...8 days post op and I wake up with tons of energy then by 1pm need to rest or nap. Even though I wasn't very active pre surgery, I still didn't sit still. It's difficult making myself just sit and chill but we definitely need it. I was also up 6 lbs the day I came home but it disappears quickly. Little things get easier every day...hang in there!

  16. Congrats Jess! The gas pains will subside in the next day or so or at least become much more manageable. Walking even small distances helped.
  17. Hey Paul...you're not crazy. I've been getting the dizzy/off balance feeling. Not constant but definitely something I never had. I attributed mine to needing more fuel in my body. As for the aches...yes have those too. Almost feels like I have that restless leg syndrome.
  18. Surgery date was one week ago...that day was 221 -- today I'm 206.
