  1. OJ=dumping....it's loaded with sugar
  2. You look great! How much did you lose in the last month. I feel like mo 2 has been slow for me, hoping mo 3-4 will Be better;)
  3. It has 21g of carbs and 20 g of sugar...it doesn't make u dump? My doctor said no more than 15 g in a serving.
  4. It's not high in carbs??
  5. It's not recommended, although I've had a cocktail here and there. There is a high incidence of people developing an addiction because of the way it metabolizes. I know many people that are post bypass and drink socially without issue.
  6. I was told to do chewables/liquid for first mo
  7. Starting 327 RNY 6/20 Last week 285.2 This week 282.4 Down 2.8 this week Down 44.8 total
  8. Congrats! I too was stalled week 3-4...it will Pick up soon.
  9. Liquid stage sucks...you guys will feel Much better once you can chew something;) be careful with protien water, it fills you up but not much protein. Can you drink protien shakes? If you can get up to 60-70g of protien you won't feel so weak
  10. Paul, check out the blog Theworldaccordingtoeggface She is a great cook that had bariatric surgery...she has some great weight loss friendly holiday recipes, high in protien low in carbs.
  11. I came home from hospital on full liquids ( some people came home on clear liquids), I had: soup- not chunky, sf fudgesicles and Popsicles, propel Water, soy milk, crystal light, and protien shakes....make sure to get your protien shakes- most important:) shortly thereafter I started eggs, cottage cheese and Greek yogurt. Good luck!
  12. Your surgeon should Review all of that with you and provide you a list. Most people are on liquids for a while. Do u have a list?
  13. At 12 days I was on all liquids so if you are having egg, you are getting more than I was. I'm 7 weeks and it gets much better. Just focus on protien, it will get better:)
  14. Some doctors use a drainage tube, to drain fluid out of one of the incisions. Mine didn't use that either. I guess I lucked out. No drain no catheter. Maybe your surgeon doesn't use either good luck.
  15. I never had one...my surgeon doesn't use them.
  16. RNY 6/20 Starting. 327 Last week 289.2 This week 285.2 Down 4 this week. Down 41.8 in 7 weeks
  17. I was allowed Propel, Crystal light, broth, sf jello and sf Popsicles. I was only on clear liquid 2 days Pre surgery...post surgery I was 2 weeks full Liquid.
  18. I was told no more than 15g of Carbs and 6g of sugar in one serving.
  19. Popcorn? Rice? I was told to avoid both so crazy how different docs have different rules.
  20. Have you been drinking alcohol? A friend of mine was drinking and smoking a lot, rather early on and she developed an ulcer at the top opening of her pouch. Needed surgery to repair.
  21. I brought oh pants and top...I didn't want to walk around in the hospital gown, and I walked a lot. I had no drain and no catheter so the pants were fine. Wear whatever of comfy for u
