  1. Have you given ant thought to a WLS support group in your area if there is one. I have been before surgery and after and with their help now under stand why I am addicted to food and how to Handel that addiction. This is a great Fourm but sometimes being face to face with people that have gone though the same thing helps a lot more. And you get to see the results right before your eyes. They are not for everyone but if it help you get though this hard as hell Journy it's worth it And the other thing that helps is looking at my boy and known I'm going to be around a lot longer for him Surgery Anniversary 7/30/12
  2. Same here if I take to big a sip it get stuck in my chest. Keep your eye on it it is not uncommon for people to develop a stricture. If it continues don't wait call your Doctor Surgery Anniversary 7/30/12
  3. I'm feeling your pain im 4 weeks post op and hit a wall. Some say I'm not getting enough calories in I'm in starvation mode I up my cals and up my work outs still nothing. Maybe my scale is broke. Maybe it just does not want me to stand on it anymore . Will have to talk to doctor about this Surgery Anniversary 7/30/12

  6. It happens to all of us. I'm 4 weeks post op and at times think my scale must be broke I have only drop 1 lb in the last week and have been walking and riding my bike. What gives right Just wait after surgery the weight will just drop off Surgery Anniversary 7/30/12

When I was in the hospital and could not have any fluids till the swallow test they gave me this little flavored sponges on a stick I could dip in Water and run around my lips and suck a bird helping off of it help then ice chip where the greatest thing in the world Hang on it gets better Surgery Anniversary 7/30/12
  11. Mami I bet you put ketchup on hot dogs.LOL my kid will only eat hot dogs with ketchup. Yuck Everyone is deferent and Becuse of my parents I don't make my kids eat anything they don't like. My wife and I say they must try new stuff. If you don't like it you don't have to eat it again.   15. I was told to up my cal intake was to low and was in starvation mode. I was getting maybe 300-500 cals a day and maybe 40-50 g of Protein. I have tryed to up my cal intake but when food smells or just looking at food makes you sick it's hard but you have to try. That's what is going on with me.   16. I have one of the stitches from inside working its way out. That little sucker hurts when you rub it just right and to small to get to. If you are still hurting 3 weeks after please call your doctor and let him know. You should not still be in pain I think but I'm no doctor Surgery Anniversary 7/30/12

  24. The worst part of WLS the 227 bottles of wine we have in our wine cellar. Before you think I'm a drunk we bought the house with the wine cellar already in it. And my wife's cousin works for a liqueur distrubitur. And is always giving us wine to try. I like the hard stuff like Knob Creek single malt my wife likes Red Cat wine Tempted to try but I was born a chicken Surgery Anniversary 7/30/12
  25. My wife has researched gluten free bread and Pasta. Haven't tryed it yet kind of hard expensive and don't want to waste the money if it sucks . I don't know if this Fourm will let my promote a web site but here goes Www.glutenfreegoddess.blogspot.com.my wife would also like to go gluten free and has checked out this web site front to back and likes her recipes Hope it helps Surgery Anniversary 7/30/12
