  1. Make sure to stop and stretch your legs for sure. And taco bell the inside of a taco will do like 3 meals. I would assume. Or grilled fish ..maybe long John silvers has grilled fish. Or pack a cooler??
  2. Am 3.4 weeks out. I love pickles, I love pickle juice ect lol. Amy thoughts if I drink about 2oz of pickle juice. Bad, good, yes or no.??????
  3. Being young, I am 24, is hard. But at 24 I have onlym,u select friends so that is a positive. At 18 I still had the friends by force people ya know. But 18 or 80 people are skeptical and rude at times, you have to be confident in your decision or those negative ones will tearnu up
  4. WEll, I am 3.5 weeks post op and I am down 50 lbs!!!!!!!!!!!the 50 is counting the prior weeks liquid diet. So 4.5 weeks and 50 lbs. Could not be happier. It is a lot but I started out at 386 so I had quite a bit to lose than most so it is coming off faster at first. Why you ask is this a huge milestone???? Because I want to lose 200 total. So I am 1/4 of the way there. I want to stop at 186 ish because I am 6 foot tall. Saw a neat idea on pinterest by the way. Take 2vases and in one put the amount u want to lose and the other empty and transfer over as you lose it, super cheap and a good motivation
  5. Sandwich Illinois???
  6. Here is an update Thank you for all caring so much!!!! The pain went away by morning, but it comes back when I drink milk occasionally, I'll have to look into this more I suppose. Also does anyone have an issue laying flat, like you cannot breathe laying flat. I am week 2.5 post op
  7. Yes, none of those pains you listed that would require ambulance. I am stretching back in a recliner at the moment with a heating pad on my tummy. I am sipping on some warm water hoping that may help. When I take deep breathes, I can pinpoint the exact point of the pain. It's not gas though I know that.
  8. Tastes the same as regular, less messy tho. As it comes in a package. Supper good. I just puréed it with a spritz of butter.
  9. Round 4 today I had a sharp pain in my belly area right around my sternum. It has gotten a lil worse and just is hurting really bad now. I had tilapia for lunch and dinner it was moist so I mushed with my fork and chew chew chew and mush in my mouth. Is food stuck?? Something else??? Any remedies???
  10. My nurse told me sugar free choc syrup. Only mix it with about. Teaspoon. And cannot taste it even the b12
  11. Is there a limit we should stick to...too much??
  12. At 2 weeks post op, how much milk should we be drinking??
  13. It is a personal preference, I enjoy the outside, many thingsn that my mind gets, lost in deep thought about instead of the time. Also, because the further I walk, I still have to turn around and come home, at any given moment I could just hit end on the treadmill haha. But I have heard that treadmill with an incline setting is way way better for our knees. Vs walking on flat!hard concrete surfaces..
  14. Are you lacking Protein, or calories. Both can make u feel lethargic.
  15. I had surgery July 24, so 2 weeks tomorrow. I am choking down these shakes, but really not enjoying them, and feel like I could possibly get all my intake from food. I am on puréed for 3 weeks starting last saturday. Input on this meal plan is appreciated. Breakfast - tilapia 1.5 oz 10g Protein Milk skim 9 g protein 8 oz Lunch- tilapia 1.5 oz 10 g protein Mille skim 9 g protein 8oz Dinner-tilapia 1.5 oz 10 g protein Milk skim 9 g protein 8 oz All tilapia can be exchanged for tuna equalling same amount of protein. And 3 bottles of water16.9 fl oz... Mind u I love fish. Now this is only 54 g protein, any ideas on the other. My dr recommends 70-90 ...my protein is 25 grams. Should I just choke it down. For the leftover. Also my dr is 3 meals 1-2oz daily.
  16. Have you tried laying flat, and deep breathes. If not, that would be my 2 cents
  17. The hospital I was at the binder aka (girdle) basically a tummy holder inner type thing, was optional. I requested it because I felt my skin was tearing off and it held it up nicely. I used this for 1 week. Per choice
  18. Okay I had immigration crab meat for lunch. 1oz of it, puréed. It twas amazing. Is this alright. I started puréed yesterday, and I am 2 weeks post op.
  19. I definitely agree, as I sat down for my psych veal, he asked if I had insight into the addiction model relating to food. He went on to say it makes no sense to him and food is not an addiction. I launched into a 10 minute speech about my views and it most certainly is. Times of joy, eat, times of sorrow, eat, boredom, eat, birthday, eat, graduation, eat, gathering, let's eat!! Well looks at drugs and alcohol, it's all the same. As post op speaking my (triggers) are bill boards with a red bright and shiny large fountain coke from mcdonalds. Or it's my birthday where are we going for dinner. I found it hard to believe he had no insight into this connection what so ever. Food is an addiction, it makes us happy, it makes us sad, it makes us sick,it makes us salivate just to the smell of it.
  20. 3to 4 since surgery. ....is that high, I am on 1oz for the first 4 weeks.... Wait are I talking food or liquid haha
