    My first post....Surgery Jan 6th

Congrats! Can't wait to hear how you are progressing in the next few months.
  2. When I was going through the process to get the surgery, I did not tell anyone. I had finally made up my mind and did not want to hear the stories and their opinions. But afterwards I told anyone that asked, so much so that 5 more women have had the surgery. They have watched me and seen that it is not easy but doable. At work we are starting to meet once a month to talk about our progress and encourage each other. I'm 15 months out. From 225 to 129. I'm so happy and healthy.

    June Post Ops!

I am so glad it's over, I love this time of the year, but if I see another cookie, cake or candy. I'm going to scream. I did very good, I did not eat sweets but the sight of them made me sick.

    October Surgery Dates

iI have stabilized now I think, been at this weight 130 for 3 months. I think I may be still losing inches because my clothes are getting loose. I feel great still watching my carbs. I'm down to size 6 and a lot of times 4. Merry Christmas!

    Telling Friends And Family...

I only told a few people husband, supervisor, oldest kid before surgery. I just did not want to hear negativity. When I returned to work everyone knew because my supervisor told some people and of course they told some people, Now at work I am the person serious people want to talk to about WLS. Three people have had the surgery because they see my results and my lifestyle. They tell me that I look happier and I look so cute in my clothes. I don't hide the fact that had WLS but it is a personal matter and I treat it as such.

    How about some NSVs!?!?

That was my first goal to weigh less than my husband now I weigh 90lbs less than him. I love it when he calls me skinny! HW 225 CW 133. 1 year out today! I feel great.
  16. I have a sinus infection a bad one. But my husband says since u had the rny you get sick more. OMG...its a sinus infection. And yes the medication hurt my stomach so they gave me another medication. People at work think the same thing. If I get a headache. Its because I had surgery. So tired of defending my decision. I really think they are jealous, yes even my husband. Really people! I'm 9 months out and I feel fine. My blood work is great even my iron, which was never so before surgery. Thanks for letting me vent.
