  1. Hi! Well, this is my 6th day-post-op. Had my Gastric Bypass Surgery on Tues., May 15th. I wasn't nervous because I had a wonderful surgeon, Dr. Mark Sherrod. He had operated on me 2 other times with great results. Anyway, it's strange, I can hardly tell I've had surgery, not much pain. Ofcourse, I can definately feel restriction when I have liquids. He first removed my Lap Band that had slipped and their was an obstruction and then converted me to Gastric Bypass. Spent 2 nightIs in the hospital felt great, walked the halls. My doctor made me promise to take the pain meds when I went home. At home, things are going fine, i'm walking about every 1.5 hrs or so. (not big on exercise) Protein shakes are a challenge, Water and fluids, popcicles ok. I do feel sleepy, not worn out by doing anything. Yesterday, something funny did happen. I decided to weigh myself for the 1st time, my friend put his foot on the scale and it went up to 322 lbs. I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I turned around and noticed he was teasing me. Anyway, thats about it for now.
