I wish I would have joined this app, before surgery. I thought everything I was going through was not 'normal'. I started my period for the first time in five years! (I did have a couple verrry rare occasions of spotting.) But I started four days before surgery! I wasn't bleeding much at first.. but as I was begining the healing process in the hospital, (after surgery) it started up, very heavy. Heavy periods is uncommon for me. So I went through the whole or-deal, on my period. Made things a little more difficult. :/ Happy to know, that im not in it alone... are we more fertile now? Eeek.
  3. I wish I could get involved in the rny talk, a little more. I just play around.. Haven't really figured out how it all works yet.
  4. Prayers to you. Goodluck. So sorry.
  5. I actually had the same problem with the swelling in my bowels. while I was at the hospital, so they kept me a little bit longer. That was a painful experience as well. Specially' since it refrained me from passing anyyyy gas, or bm. I've been tryin to walk as often as possible. But still feel real weak. Still on Clear liquids.. not getting enough Protein. Hopefully tmrw at my one week post-op appt, ill be released to full liquids. Were any of you sent home with a drain?
  6. I cannot believe it. Still feels like a dream to me. I keep telling everyone.. I wish someone would have really told me how difficult the healing process was actually going to be. I have been having sever gas pains in my chest, back, etc. It's been terrible. Praying that this is the worst of it, and that it passes. I'm still exhausted, been having a lot of anxiety, worrying that, 'ill never be able to eat again..' and almost as if I have forgotten why I even did this. Is this normal? Wondering-- why I didnt go with the 'sleeve' because the recovery would have probably been easier? Just venting a few things. Any advice would be great!
