  1. Congrats! Huge accomplishment!
  2. I really haven't been doing that much running at all. I walk on a flat walking trail but this was all terain. I use elyptical for 30-40 mins 6 days a week. The two girls I did 5k with are more advanced than I am running so i just had to push myself to keep up. We walked and jogged. New goal is to jog whole way.
  3. My new goal is to be able to run the whole thing! I so sore this morning it's not even funny but I love it. Thanks for all the support!
  4. Thanks so much! It really helped me mentally. I didn't have a good wt loss this week but crossing this off my list kind of made it worth it.
  5. I did my first 5k today. Didn't run it all but feel very accomplished just being able to run any! What a change 3 months can make!
  6. I know this is kind of trivial, but has anyone started drinking out of straws consistently post op? I'm 12 weeks out and seem to gulp too much when drinking out of bottles. Most of my insulated glasses have straws. Experiences anyone?
  7. Pour warm water over the goods while trying to pee!
  8. I lost 16 lbs before surgery. My surgery was 5/2/2012. I've lost just shy of 40lbs since surgery!
  9. It will get better! The 1st two weeks are the worst! I regretted my decision for rny every day. Now I'm 56 lbs down and so thankful. Just know this too shall pass!
  10. I took my little boy to a local bouncy b. Before I left, my husband told me my jeans were too big. I could not believe it. I had on my skinny jeans ( not really but those 18 pants from the Gap were the smallest I had worn in 6 years or more!). So got to the bouncy b and actually had the energy and stamina to play for 2 hours! However, as I was climbing up the big slide holding my 22 month old, my pants fell down! I only hoped to one day wear those jeans again. I never imagined be any smaller! This tells me that my mind set really needs to change!!
  11. I'm 6 weeks post op and down 30.5 lbs. When I went to MD on Tuesday, I had lost 5.5 inches off my waist! I was so excited!
  12. May 2nd surgery date-266 Last Friday 240.7 Today 237.1
  13. I only took off 2 weeks. I'm a RN in office setting. Mixture of walking and desk work. Was tired the first few days, but did fine.
  14. 12 days post op and 16lbs down! Many more to go but it's a start!!!
