  1. 114 pounds is amazing! It's inspiring! I'm getting so nervous...my surgery is a week from today. I pray I do as well as you have.

You are going to do great, be proud of yourself to make the steps towards the right direction! I'm here if you need any questions answered. I was lucky to have quite a few people I new who had the surgery before me, and I love to help others the same.

  2. I am still very stiff and feel like rubber bands around the incisions. I am walking around the house alot and am trying to ease off the pain med I was sent home with.

I still sleep on my back. I have found i easier to use a heating pad 20 minutes on 30 minutes off at night with a cover over the abdomen of course as to not burn the incision sites..

I am just concerend. I see everyones post about walking around and feeling great... I am a bit discouraged thinking is it me? Should I be toughing it out and walking alot more....

After surgery I was in a lot of pain, I couldn't sleep in my bed for the first 3-4 weeks (could only bare the couch) because my back was killing me and whenever I tried to sleep on my side, it felt as though all my intestines were detached, and felt like rocks just swooshing side to side as I moved to find a comfortable position. It was an awful/weird/painful feeling but it did get better. You just had major surgery, everyone handles it differently but you do have to allow yourself that time to recover. It stinks, but before you know it, you will be feeling great too!!
