  1. You've taken the first step to a happier healthier you. Congratulations on that
  2. I had the endoscopy this morning and they said I had some stricture. They said scar tissue had formed around the opening of my pouch restricting my food intake but allowing fluids to pass through. They said the opening was really small. I have to have the procedure done again next week but honestly this is the most comfortable I've felt since before surgery. I even at 3 bites of mashed potatoes without feeling sick or like something was caught in my throat

  4. A stricture is exactly what they said...They expanded it a bit...They said it was surrounded by scar tissue. I have to get it done once more in about a week. I'm spending on more night in the hospital to see how I tolerate soft food. I hope this resolves my issue
  5. Omg that sounds horrible....I'm so glad you're ok
  6. Good luck with everything. Plz keep us posted

  8. You're welcome. The meals on Skinny taste are REALLY good
  9. Nothing sits well with me but then again I'm only 4weeks post op

  11. I had to have full lab work...ekg...stress test..sleep apnea test...psych eval...nutritionist visit......mandatory support groups...and lose 10% of my weight
  12. Thank you so much. I'm so discouraged.....almost regretting even getting the surgery
  13. No Sweet I don't think so bc I've had that feeling even off a sip of water....Maybe our bodies are still in the process of healing....idk but this feeling is the absolute worse. Idk how you dealt with it for 8+ weeks
  14. I had to...all that does is look inside from a 2 dimensional view to see if there's any blockage or if your pouch is too tight. I'm sick of broth too and the protein shakes always make me vomit. Can you tolerate yougurt pudding jello or applesauce? Those usually go down pretty easy. Its been 4 weeks today for me and I just REALLY can't deal!
  15. Jackie you are about to make me cry bc I am having the exact same issue and I has an uppper g.i ten days ago and today and I'm scheduled for the endoscopy tomorrow morning. I was very hopeful that that would fix everything now my hopes are dashed! :'(
  16. Thanks everyone for your concern. I will definitely keep you all posted. Thanks for the prayers
  17. I started my process in August and had my surgery in March
  18. I've never heard of anyone having a bypass for that reason. That sounds really scary. I had my surgery 4 weeks ago. They surgery itself wasn't bad but I'm dealing with some other complications now....what is it that you would specifically like to know about the surgery?
  19. I'm 4 weeks post op and haven't been able to keep anything besides liquids down. No protein shakes pureed foods yogurt jello pudding applesauce-NOTHING! I came to the emergency room and they've admitted me! I'll have an endoscopy in the morning.
