6. Mary, I feel the same way! That's why the words of my nutritionist always ring in my ears...can I vs. should I....I am far from perfect but these words help me to make better food choices. I agree it is empowering! Feels really good to no longer feel powerless!: ) Sent from my Nexus S 4G using RNYTalk
7. Tberry thank you for sharing those words of wisdom. I was just making a similar point in a different thread. I will take your experience and use it to my advantage. I'm always trying to build upon and grow from hearing others stories and this was one a lot of us needed to hear. Also good luck with breaking your sugar jones... Only lost one lb this past week but my monthly came yesterday so I'm grateful that I haven't gained anything...plus I'm still excited about my NSV this past week of fitting into a size 14...even though I couldn't afford to buy anything its nice to know that I've gone from a size 20 to a size 14 in 3 calendar months. Congrats to everyone's accomplishments!: ) Sent from my Nexus S 4G using RNYTalk

15. Thanks hun...I am determined that my girls won't be hood rats with babies by the time there 18! Lol. I had my first at 27...my 2nd at 32. I partied hard before they got here and made plenty of poor choices as far as men go. (Thus why I never married) When I turned 40 I decided to liberate myself and it became about me and my happiness and making sure my girls become somebodys makes me happy! Exercising daily makes me happy...and believe it or not I am perfectly happy being single. I have a lot of options and I am loving it. The weight loss is just making it that much sweeter:) Sent from my Nexus S 4G using RNYTalk
16. This thread is funny! I'm a 43 year old technically single mom although I have a friend with benefits! Never married...two kids and I very much enjoy my single lifestyle. Not single because of my weight but a conscious decision that I made to raise my daughters with impeccable high standards. We lead by example so I try to be an exemplary role model as well as an attentive parent. Men are very time consuming and require a lot of attention that I just don't have time to give right now. My oldest (16) will be leaving for college in two years (hallelujah!)and my youngest is 11. My goal us to get them off to college with no pregnancies!!!! They're very pretty girls and I am continuously running the boys off. Can't turn my head for a minute! Lol! Its a big fear if mine because I myself came from teenage parents. Raising them as Christians but we all know how teenagers hormones can be! I actually wanted this surgery so that I would be able to play sports again... with them. They're active and I want to be able to keep up!: ) Here are Chana's Angels...lol! Sent from my Nexus S 4G using RNYTalk
17. My nutritionist said some very powerful words of wisdom..."Can you have sugar free ice cream?" The answer was yes. But, "SHOULD you have sugar free ice cream" not a very good choice when its so important to get all of your nutrients in with such a small pouch. She went on to say make your food choices count Sent from my Nexus S 4G using RNYTalk
18. I was in one day. No complications. Surgery March 21st. I went home March 22nd. Lapriscopically done. Sent from my Nexus S 4G using RNYTalk
19. I've had two c sections and this surgery is a walk in the park comparably. I felt like a gutted pig after the c sections! Lol. I also had gallbladder removed and that also was way worse than RNY surgery. Sent from my Nexus S 4G using RNYTalk
20. Detroit is in lower MI...I'm in Toledo Ohio and its about 45 minutes from here. Upper Mi is a ways up there lol Sent from my Nexus S 4G using RNYTalk
21. What about massage therapy. Massaging the muscle helps waaay more than any pain reliever. The muscle may have a knot or kink or something. Possibly even try rubbing it with a muscle rub yourself... Sent from my Nexus S 4G using RNYTalk
