  1. Sweet what does mfp stand for? Sent from my Nexus S 4G using RNYTalk
  2. I'm 43 and its been slow but steady for me! Lol...I compare myself to the tortoise and the hare! Lol. I haven't had any gains and only one stall. I don't even gain when its time for my monthly cycle which I think is awesome. But everyone is different I read about other 40 somethings that have dropped weight rapidly but my Dr keeps telling me its healthier to drop it gradually over the 12 month period that they have planned for you so that your skin has time to keep up! Lol....I just tell myself not to compare myself to other people on this site and keep my eyes on the prize. 11 weeks out I'm down 50 lbs. Some people would say ONLY 50 lbs but I have way more gratitude than that! I say woowww! I've lost 50 lbs in less than 3 months! I haven't had any complications...just smooth sailing. Good luck with your journey and try not to compare yourself to others because its a lot less stressful that way! . Plus its not a race.....best wishes to you:) Sent from my Nexus S 4G using RNYTalk

  4. At 5 days post op 30 mins is great. Set a daily goal for instance in the beginning I walked one block further than I did the day before. Or maybe work on increasing the speed. You are off to an excellent start! Kudos to you! Sent from my Nexus S 4G using RNYTalk
  5. When you fund yourself unable to eat I was told to revert to 4 Protein shakes a day to keep your strength up. You dint want to lose muscle mass instead of fat because that's what will happen if your body doesn't have nutrients. Do WHATEVER you have to do to get em down. Btw sorry your feeling so poorly. Hope the baby gets better soon. I know you're feeling tired and rundown but exercise is a natural antidepressant. You release some type of endorphins (pheromones I think) that make you feel better. 12. 20 lbs. a month is great. Don't compare yourself to other peoples #'s. Its healthier to lose the weight more gradual over this 12 month period as opposed to dropping the bulk of it right off. You'll have less lose skin and always remember everyone loses at their own pace. Stick with your plan and you'll do fine...also set realistic goals and have realistic expectations. Bypass patients are actually expected to lose the weight over a one year period of time...its not a race. Patience is a virtue also congrats on the 20 lbs... Sent from my Nexus S 4G using RNYTalk
