  3. Hello every1! Just want to share that today I went to see my surgeon an everything is GREAT! In 9days I had lost 11lbs, he ordered me to star on the Phase II diet which is PURE FOOD! So today I went grocery shopping and bought cottage cheese, sweet potato, eggs, yogurt, oatmeal and more Popsicles to add to this new phase diet. I'm very excited b/c everything is going so well, haven't vomit at all, no nauseas I meant I think I been lucky or my body loves this surgery. I tried cottage cheese for the 1st time in my life and geezzz I never knew it taste that good lol. I hope to hear from all of you, and I hope everyone is doing great as well! Regards, Yodelania
  4. I had surgery last Monday 04/02/2012 and drove today my dghtr to school. I feel great!!!! (knock on wood) I been very skeptical about pain meds, I think is more b/c my pain level is great! The first 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th day were pretty bad as far as pain but afterward Gosh no pain at all, just a bit discomfort but nothing bad at all. Also I guess I been lucky, b/c everyone I know that had done this surgery always tell me that they had nauseas and vomit episodes and so far (again knock on wood) nothing at all! I'm so happy w/this surgery decision and I don't think that I will regret it at all! Panda ~~> I hear you about the depression situation. I sometimes find myself crying for NO reason, but I guess is the process that my mind is knowledging that my life won't be the same anymore (positively speaking) so I just suck it up, smile and keep goin w/my date-to-date life changing process! Is a good thing that we can come in here and let it all out, I found this forum very helpful and supporting! A BIG CONGRATS TO ALL OF US FOR DECIDED TO CHANGE OUR LIFE POSITIVELY!!!!

  19. Hi everyone! Let's talk about the procedure itself. So for those who already had the RNY, could you guys tell me from star to finish how the surgery team prepares the pt. Meaning; you go to the hospital, the open the IV, star hydrating you, then the catheter and etc...I'm mostly scare about the foley catheter b/c I had a bad experience during my C-Sec that part wasn't easy lol....the more info the better. I'm sched for 04/02/2012 a week away so you all can tell that I'm anxious, nervous, excited and had questions like crazy lol. Thanks!
  20. Hello CocoHuny Wow really! No pre-op years ago! Well my surgeon put me on a 2wks liquid diet and it haven't been easy but I'm almost seeig the light at the end of the tunnel...is not easy because my stomach is on regular size but I had faith that this same liquid diet w/the RNY pouch must be a cake w/the only exception that I will basicly have to push the liquids down to get my Protein
