  1. Hello Ladies and Gents! Oh boy Back Pain uff it was so bad!!! I never suffer from back pain but right post-op I had the worse NECK & BACK PAIN I had ever experience. I ask for muscle relaxers at the hospital but they refused to give me some so I just walk walk & walk to try to relieve those muscles. I really feelt it was cause by being laying on my back for a long period of time, plus at the hospital the aides didn't turn me or changed my position as they were suppose to. I can't complaint that much they treated me so nice but big fail on that one! And I was so knocked out due to the anesthesia that I didn't have time to complaint at all, plus I'm not complainer lol! So after I was d/c from the hospital I only used the pain killers for the first 2 nights and the rest is history! I been doing great!! No gas pain, no pain at all thank Godness!!!
  2. Watch out those sxs very carefully, it could be DVT (Deep Vein Trombosis aka blood clot) specially if you're post-op. Watch for the following sxs; • Swelling in one or both legs • Pain or tenderness in one or both legs, which may occur only while standing or walking • Warmth in the skin of the affected leg • Red or discolored skin in the affected leg • Visible surface veins • Leg fatigue If so I would say go straight to your MD and if not available go straight to ED!!! Takecare!!!!

  4. Hello Vamp I have the same problem can't get my Protein down b/c of my taste buds but I'll check the one you mention Syntrax Nectars. Can you tell me where you buy them? (I'm going to google it anyways) but if you can tell me will help as well. I'm drinking Bariatric Advantage and ugh I can't stand it anymore (strawberry & chocolate flavor) I will also check the GNC one I bought for my Pre-Op let's see how it goes, but I'm definitively not getting all the protein down b/c I get full so fast plus the taste is ugh lol

  17. Hi 4202004 Thanks for sharing your amazing story! That give me lots of hope and reaffirmation that my decision of having WLS was one of the best I had done in my life. I really want to be a healthier individual so that I can expand my life and enjoy it w/my pressure daughter I started this journey at 265lbs, lost 20lbs during pre-op diet (245lbs) and post op 21lbs (224lbs). My surgery was 04/02/2012.
  18. Last week WT 228lbs Today Friday 04/27/2012 224lbs
  19. I got ppl telling me the same thing, my start wt 265lbs now 24 days post-op and wt 228lbs last time I weight my self. Tomorrow I'll wt myself again cuz I want to participate on the TGIF WT Group Anyways back to the topic I was told the same thing that I wasn't that big and that I could had done it myself but inside myself I knew that I could never have the will power to do so that i need it this great wl tool cuz I tried so many times and never made it! And I really want it to avoid comorbidities and also get my self-steem high as I used to have it before so I won't care what ppl tells me. I just know that this was the best for me!!! My view towards Obesity is that is a Pandemic Addiction and at least we WLS pals have the guts to deal w/it and try to resolve our problems...so let them talk as we get skinny minies lol
  20. Way to go Anjela!! I want be there soon
  21. DlCoggin You are totally right! I meant every person body works differently and b/c of it not everyone is able to lose wt w/the conventional way or right way as those negative individuals call it (eat right/exercise and watch what you eat). It just don't work for everyone, that been said this is one of the reason that the majority of us get this amazing tool that is able to help us if we off-course f/u the rules! So let them talk all they want while we get skinny in front of their eyes LOL ;
  22. Hope everything went fine - takecare and keep us update as you can!
  23. Prayers out to you! God bless you and accelerate your healing process
  24. Hi Leslie I don't think that there's a possibility to have RNY WLS and not been admitted. I'm not sure is RNY is classify as major surgery (but I think so) but why I know is that it requires to be an In-Pt since serious complications may develop right after surgery (DVTs being one of the scary ones) and later as well. I think doctors want to make sure they are sending us home as safe as possible. Regards, Yodelania
