  1. Congrats Steph! Hang in there!
  2. Well the majority of the insurance required 6mon dietician evaluation plus others Pre-ops procedures to be done as your health condition may required; PFT, EKG, Endocospy, & etc again it all depends on your health condition - good luck & welcome to the forum
  3. Good luck for both of you Bernie & Krista
  4. Thanks for the feedback! I'm 21 days post-op but my MD told me to star on the purée phase 11days ago and to slowly introduce regular food if to see how it goes, I'll see him on the 16th so I guess he'll will give me the okay for regular food. I guess I just want to see how would my stomach reacts to the food I ate yesterday but I wont dare to eat meat unless is purée cuz I'm scare of any bad reaction lol Thanks ladies!
  5. Heck of idea! I'm in! I'll star this Friday oh btw we you should name the post as TGIF Wt then the date lolololol

  7. I'll pray for your prompt recovery - take care !
  8. Hello everyone! I hope everyone is doing okay. So I went groceries shopping this morning and I got stuck in the yogurt area and at the end didn't buy any because they are all more than 5grams of sugar. So my question is which are the brands that we POST-OP pts can eat? Pls help! I need to spice up my diet a bit since Proteins shakes are driving me crazy lol I'm bored of them. I'm on my purre stage but I'm introducing food by small steps like for instance; yesterday I went to a cook out (YES I DARE TO GO LOL) and they were Mexican style so I eat a 1/4 of tortilla w/tsp of sour cream/guacamole lettuce & tomatoe NO meat and it went down just FINE!!! So anyways I'm doing fine w/food but is getting kind of bore - anyone? Regards Yodelania
  9. Anjela I'm praying for your expedy recuperation...hang tight!
  10. Crystal! You can do it! Keep it up!!
  11. Hanging in there, my prayers are w/you
  12. Hi Linda I would suggest you to always carry Water bottles w/you....like for instance I have water everywhere, my vehicle, obviously house and work cuz when I feel thirsty I would sip on it plus it's a healthier choice. I wish you all the best and stay strong we are all into this and I know that sometimes its just hard to control our impulse of wanting a particular thing so just hang in there and focus on the goal cuz hunny WE CAN DO IT!!! :) ;)
  13. I'm very happy that everything went fine, now take care of yourself and heal well.
  14. Hi Jessica, You won't believe what I'm going to tell you, negativity is everywhere. While I was at the hospital my roommate which happens to had Lap-Band revision had the nerve to criticised me saying "You're not that fat, you couldn't lose the wt w/I this sx" and I was so in pain due to the sx and my mother answered her "yes she ain't that fat but she ain't waiting to get to 300lbs plus to have co-morbidides to do something about her wt" I was like is the lady serious, I mean the more I could expect was support from her as roommate and mostly as if I may say fellow RNY pt. After that comment I never spoke to her the rest of my hospitalization. It was inappropriate plus I can accept ppls advice but not rude comments or etc....I know that I made the best decision I could it done for myself, my dghtr and entire family and the ppl that I care the most thankfully support me on my journey and that's what it counts so don't get discourage keep focus on the goal which is a HEALTIER LIFE !!!!
  15. Omg guys! I never called my MD to tell him that I wasn't having a BM b/c I thought of the liquid phase and that b/c of that I wasn't going to go sooner, plus I had always suffered from constipation. But yes I feel much better lol but it's curious that it wasn't that much...I'm taking COLACE I'll check the MOM sugar free one to see how does go. Panda your funny hahaha 7lbs that's a good probability so we'll see lol Talk to you all later
  16. I finally had a BM today after 2wks post-op ALLELUIA!!! Sorry if is TMI lol just wanted to share the moment!
  17. I choose the RNY b/c out of the 3 options is the one w/more research, w/more wt loss chances and I would say w/more positive outcomes . I rather have WLS once (RNY) than have the lap-band and have to revise it later....And sleeve vs RNY well again research is the top reason, second reason is that the RNY is reversible if you want it in the future. Good luck in your decision
  18. Today is my 9th day and I had lost 12lbs yay
  19. Hello Tor I'm glad you're doing fine, thanks for the pappermint tip I didn't know about if! You'll see how nice you feel after dropping the 1st 10lbs I mean I can't stop saying how much energize I feel. Keep in touch Regards Yodelania
  20. Hello Chaas Don't get discourage, some ppl lose wt differently and we all can hit plateaus so keep doing the right things cuz it seems that you are on the right track. Keep us post it! Wow 3rd week and regular food I'm impress b/c this is my 2nd wk and he just put me on pure food and told me that I will be doing it for at least 4-6wks, and then probably star on my regular food unless something happens but who knows every doctor has its different regimen, good luck!
