  1. I'm in the same boat. I got banded on Jan.24 and lost 25 pounds real quick. I went last Friday for a fill, but my doctor wouldn't do one yet. They said I have lost 7 pounds in one month, and that is average. They told me to eat solid and heavy foods, so I would eat less and the food would sit on top of the band and keep my full longer. I am very disappointed right now. I don't feel like I have lost anything in weeks. Everyone says this is normal, but it sucks. Good luck! Just know, your not alone in the struggle!
  2. I actually went to the gym after work tonight. I did 20 min. on the treadmill! I am proud that I forced myself, I hope I can keep going.
  3. Don't be so hard on yourself. I was going to quite before I got banded, but it was all too much for me. So, I figure, if I am going to quite eating, then I am smoking! I think it is only healthy to try to change one thing at a time in your life. Just my opion. Good Luck with it!
  4. Today was suppose to be my first fill. I am 6 weeks out. They refused to fill me, because I am losing about 1.5 pounds per week. My problem has been, still eating mushed foods. I really havn't tried regular foods. My doctor explained to me that when you eat solid foods, it sits on top of the band and you feel full. I tried it after the opt. And guess what? Their right. I guess I better put my nose to the grind stone, and start excersing!
  5. Scotty, I am in the same boat right now. I lost a quick 25 pounds, and the last 2 to 3 weeks, I havn't lost anything. I was starting to get worried, but everyone says this is normal. It is very frustrating! I get my first fill today, so I hope the weight starts to come back off. Keep a positive out look, I know it's hard, I wanted to put my head in the oven!!!
  6. Congrats! Good luck! You won't have any regrets!
  7. Anyone out there from Nebraska? Home of the Huskers?
  8. You sound like your doing great! I hope I start losing again. I am going to have a fill! I need it, I am eating allot more now! I guess I thought this was a quick fix. But it does take time! I am going to keep working hard for bathing suit season!
  9. Don't be scared! It was harder for me to have a all liquid diet before surgery, than the actually surgery! It is amazing what the doctors can do! Good Luck.
