weight loss stopped

I got banded on Jan.24. I have not lost any more weight for over 2 weeks. Is this normal? I go for my first fill next Friday. Why have I stopped losing weight?

Are you eating more now? Without a fill, it's common to be hungry because you have no restriction. You may find yourself eating pre-band amounts. Are you exercising consistently? Getting your waterload in (but not w/meals or 1 hour afterwards)? How about tracking your foods on www.fitday.com ? It helps when you can see how much you're eating and what types of food you're eating. Best of luck to you.

Normal, normal, normal, norma, normal!! Yes, it is normal. When you're in the post-op period right after surgery you might drop some weight quickly. But when you get back on solid food, which I assume you have done so by now, the weight loss stops. Just about every single bandster goes through this and you are absolutely normal.

Your band isn't designed to work without some saline in it, so any weight you los pre-fill is just a bonus. Don't worry, it will start up again one you have a fill. You're fine!

Thanks for the positive coment. It is very frustrating! I feel that I went thru all this for 28 pounds! I can't wait until my fill! Summer is coming!!!!
