  1. Same thing. I'm 3 weeks and 3 days post op and the most discomfort is on my left side. My incision site still hurts, but that is to be expected since I was an open revision.
  2. I'm not sure I'm eating correctly. Bkfst. Scrambled egg. Lunch: cottage cheese with tuna. I gave up the protein shakes cause I think I'm getting enough. Comments? Dinner: grilled chicken and salad Snack: yogurt
  3. hi all. I'm 3 weeks and 1 day post op. I am still having discomfort in my abdomen. Has anyone else had this for this long?

I was never told no corn. Anyone else been told that?
  5. Try the cherry. It's awesome. Much like fruit punch
  6. I was an open surgery so I had staples to deal with. I quickly discovered that I became lactose intolerant, but that's ok. I came home on Thursday, and went to my granddaughters dance recital the next night.
  7. I ordered them too, and they are the best!
  8. Yogurt is a good source of protein, though. I buy the sugar free, fat free which is like 80 calories.
  9. I started losing before surgery as they had me do a liver reduction diet for 2 weeks prior. It consisted of protein drinks and sugar free popsicles, sugar free jello, and broth along with 64 ounces of water.
  10. I know. I had a coordinator that coudn't seem to give me the lover reduction diet sheet. She kept sending me the wrong one. DUH!! Finally I got the correct one, and my surgeon is great, but some of his staff members are a little bit lacking.
  11. I guess you could try it and see. Be sure to let us know how that turns out.
  12. Syntrax C'herry is the most tolerable I have found so far. It tastes like fruit punch.
  13. That's a little bit scary. I hope they don't forget anything else.
  14. Do you all have to take calcium with these or are they good to go? Also, how many do you take per day?
  15. Sorry I'm off topic here, but I need some serious help. I'm taking Bariatric Fusion chewable vitamins and they are awful. I don't have to take additional calcium with it, but boy, they are awful. Suggestions, anyone?
  16. Ok, here's the news. Starting weight---283.5 April 17 Surgery date May,1 weight--263.8 Today's weight--250.2
  17. Yes, Vamp. I'm not quite 3 weeks post op and I never got tat full feeling. I wish I did. I just have to be very careful, and it's kind of discouraging this early in the process.
  18. You look awesome, Sweet
  19. Is anyone taking a Vitamin that isn't awful? I am on BARIATRIC FUSION chewables 4 times a day and they taste awful. Any ideas are appreciated.
  20. I am the same way ! I think I could chow down because I don't get the full feeling. I just make a conscience effort to stop.
  21. I think I may have finally figured it out. I think I may be lactose intolerant. The dietician said it could happen after surgery. I stopped the cottage cheese, milk, and yogurt and it stopped. THANK GOD! I hope this might help someone else if they have these issues. I was at the end of my rope.
  22. Well, in the morning I either have 2 TBSP. of either cream of wheat, or oatmeal and 2TBSP of yogurt. Lunch is deli turkey 1oz., and 2 Tbsp. of nonfat cottage cheese. Dinner is either 1 oz of deli meat and 2 TBSP of nonfat cottage cheese. I dot purée. With what I'm eating small bites and good chewing seem to work
  23. Good for you,Beth! I'm on the puréed stuff now and I'm sticking with it, but I'm not losing.
  24. I'd anyone have "dumping" type issues after their RNY? I have not cheated on this diet at all and I have to make a run for it probably 5 times A day. I can't hardly leave the house because when there is an urge, it is immediate. I'm 2 weeks post op and very discouraged. I talked to my Dr's nurse and she told me not to worry about it, but she's not the one with the issue!
