    One Last Drink

Be honest did any one have one last beer or two while on the pre-op diet?
  2. Was it hard for anyone else to drink right after surgery?

Yeah I loved exploring new beers my self. I think that is really what brought on this thought is that I won’t get any again. In all honesty being healthy and in shape means a lot more to me then a beer. I understand this is a life style change and some sacrifices will be made.
  5. I work with someone that just had the sleeve, all I hear him saying is how drained he feels. My question is what was your experience, how long was it before you felt like your energy levels where normal or better again.
  6. I know that every body will be different but just curious how long everyone stayed in the hospital after the surgery?

No this will not be blown off at all, and I do appreciate your input. I plan on not drinking for a min. of at least one year or until i hit goal weight. I simply wanted to find out if anyone else contemplated this same matter while in this phase. This is the exact response I was hoping to get. No I don’t intend on having a drink a week before the surgery. As I said it will be tempting to, all of your input's are just giving me more of a reason to refrain from doing so.

I just know I will be tempted while sitting at an airport for several hours after getting off of work for 3 weeks stright. Its going to be a challenge not to.
  9. Wow that does not sound like fun at all. I work offshore so I am use to being around a bunch of people I don’t know and a noisy environment.
  10. Thank You and im kind of the same way. I heal up pretty fast, I will be finding out how this goes soon enough. The 21st is fast approaching.
  11. Thanks for all the responses, this is good information. I want to say my doctor said only a one night stay, but i guess that really all depends on how you are doing with walking, ect. so was everyone up and walking no problems after the first week?
