I have Aetna so i think it was more of an Aetna thing I had to see the nutritionist 3 times. It was 3 times over a 90 day period. I also had to see a pulmonologist, cardiologist, and gastroenterologist. I also had to have a psych clearance. I actually continued to see her even after my consult and I found that it prepared me so much for the the mental struggle surgery was.

It was not difficult at all I just let the office know I wanted to switch to Dr. Neff and it was no big deal. I switched very early on in my process though.

No not off the top of my head. We did have a discussion about it. A big thing was my mom was very nervous about me getting the surgery and Dr. Neff was able to answer every one of her questions and really set her at ease. He's very honest and up front about everything and really makes you comfortable. I didn't get that warm comfortable feeling from Dr. Goldstein, but that's just my opinion. You should do whatever makes you comfortable.

When I first started my whole process Dr. Goldstein was the first doctor I looked into but then I found Dr.Marc Neff and he has significantly more experience with sleeves. I am 2 months out of surgery and honestly couldn't be happier with everything.
  7. I went shopping yesterday because my work pants are starting to get too lose. I drove my poor mother nuts. I'm like between sizes. I can fit a 16 but they just feel tight and I'm not used to that so it's uncomfortable for me. I did have a nsv at jcpenny though. I put on a pair of skinny jean, which is an absolute first for me bc I've just never felt confident enough to wear them. They fit!!! They were perfect!! I loved them!! I didn't buy anything else though. I just wasn't happy with the way anything looked. I ended up buying two pairs of shoes because shoes are always my go to. They always fit and never make me sad.

    5 days post op

I asked my surgeon abt the clear liquid rule the day I went in for surgery because I tried the clear Isopure ready made drinks and thought I was gonna die. He said as long as I'm mixing y protein with water it was absolutely fine. I trust my surgeon a tremendous amount. He is the director of the bariatric unit at the hospital and I have not had a single complication. I couldn't imagine not having him to turn to.
  9. I use my fitness pal to track my food bc it not only tracks calories but I can see my protein and calcium on there too which is important. I also use idrated to track my water and I live by it
  10. I am only 6 weeks out but I can honestly say with my mentality right now I can see myself being in this situation. I feel like I'm anorexic right now. I get all of my protein and vitamins but never exceed 700 calories. I get tired so easily and absolutely hate eating. I don't look forward to it. I dread it and when I do eat I am uncomfortable. I also do not venture towards many different foods for fear of hurting my tiny tummy. Thank you for sharing and being real abt it

    Questions for women only

My discharge papers from the hospital said - sexual intercourse- encouraged- no lie!!! I had asked my dr the morning of my surgery abt it in front of my husband and he said I could do it the day after surgery really but ideally it's when Im comfortable with it. Saturday night was the first time since before surgery and i was 6 weeks out on Friday. I felt awful for my poor husband. I get really insecure about sex and possibly the lack there of it but I def hurt my abdomen doing it.
