I am also November 4th. My last preop appointment with the dr., dietician and nurse is on the 23rd of this month. I am so excited yet leary at the same time. November 4th, here we come!

I found out today I'm APPROVED!!!
Now it's real and I'm a little scared but also excited. I start the liquid diet on Oct 23rd. Nov 6th will be hear before I know it.

So they finally send offy paperwork to insurance yesterday!! Hoping they get back to me next week! I am just so nervous !!

My first name is Tianna, I am from Northern Alberta Canada. My surgery is on Nov 25, at OCC Tijuana. I am 5' 10.5", weight 307ish ( depending in who's scale) I don't have a end goal weight in mind. Honestly, the thought of being under 200 seems impossible. I am very active and play Roller Derby. Myself and 2 other teammates are going together for the sleeve. 1 is actually getting a lap band removal and then either the plication or the sleeve. We scheduled it around our 2 month Christmas break, but I wish I would of done it right after our season was over. I could be down so much by now. Getting my mind, house and family ready for the pre op Protein Shake and green veggies diet, and am terrified of it, lol. But can not wait to start my new life! Yayy November

My date is actually the 5th! I met with the good doctor today and signed all the paperwork! I'm finally starting to feel kinda excited....
I'm glad to have the support from this group. It's nice to know I'm not alone.

I use humor to cover it up but when I go home at night after working with beautiful women, models and local celebrities the pain is alway still there.

Even though I am heavy I am very active....I get up at 5:30 and don't stop until 10:30-11 at night. I'm a busy Nurse, Wife and Momma. So excited to get started!!! My goal weight is 135-140.

It looks like we are going to have a good group. It's going to be very beneficial to all of us. We can keep this group going and always be able to come in and post questions since we are all having the surgery one right after the other! I'm so excited to have so many people in here. I'm November 6th also! I just got my insurance approval today!! Im so excited! I'm having my surgery in Okc. I'm 28 yrs old. I have 2 small children. 1 was a csection so I'm hoping the sleeve will be easy. My weight really spun out of control after I had kids. I'm 5'2" and currently weigh 208lbs. My goal is 130lbs. I have high cholesterol and sleep apnea. I'm so ready to start this new chapter in my life and be able to keep up with my kids. I'm tired of being absent from all the family pictures. I'm ready for the new me!

Hello everyone, just wanted to say how grateful I am to have found this group! I have been struggling with my weight all of my adult life (just turned 45). I have been successful losing the weight several times, only to end up gaining everything back within a couple of years . I had just about given up, when a nursing coworker told me about the gastric sleeve procedure she was considering. My BMI is 36 (5ft 4in), so I didn't think I would qualify. Due to my high blood pressure though, BCBS of MI said that I would! I have to undergo 6 months of supervised nutritional counseling- which I started this week. My surgery date, if all goes as planned, should be late April 2014. I look forward to following everyone's progress & am thrilled to be able to join a group where I am understood- all I hear from family and friends is "no, you don't need surgery." They just don't understand how heartbreaking it is to lose and gain back the same 70 pounds .

Im here! Got my band out Sept 12, 2013 and was supposed to have a bypass. Dr says he can't do the bypass due to malrotation of my intestines so sleeve here I come!! I got approval last Friday and my surgery is officially scheduled for Nov 5th at 9am. Im excited and terrified and not looking forward to yet another pre-op diet. But I lost 125 lbs with the band, then gained 80-90 lbs back and I am SO ready to see it go! See ya on the losers bench!! Kayla

My Current weight now is 205.5 this am and my goal weight would be 130-135..I don't even remember being this weight and if I was it was not for long. I started gaining my weight being put on anti-depressants when I was 19. I have the mindset that this is going to happen !! Life changing surgery and all !!!

I really haven't thought of an actual number I want to reach as a "goal weight". The lowest I can remember being is 185 about 1-2 years after high school. I am 42 now. I guess 150 would be nice. That means I would have to lose 150 lbs... Omg is that even possible???
