  1. I would really suggest counseling. Speak with someone that deals in food addiction and eating disorders.
  2. I was prescribed tramadol for back pain, it's been pretty good. I've never experienced dumping or intolerance of any foods. I am currently 5 months out. Your doc will periodically do blood work to make sure you are ok with your Vitamins and such. Most people need to take a multi and also b12. Some take Calcium and Iron as well.
  3. @@Lester Burnham I loved your movie!! :)
  4. Hello Anna and welcome! You have stumbled on a wonderful resource and support community. Stick around there is so much to learn here. Best of luck to you!!
  5. Prosecco. The one I like is less carbonated than some and has only 50 cals/glass. Also it's not too sweet.
  6. I was not allowed steak until after 6 weeks. I would wait as long as humanly possible before jumping into junky fast food type stuff though. I'm 5 months out and haven't touched chinese/pizza/etc. ETA not that I've been perfect! But I have stuck to "real" type foods mostly Also a few tortilla chips here and there
  7. I have a Kenmore that is very easy to use. I paid about 450 for it 9 years ago. Before that I had the 200 dollar brother unit that they sell at walmart. Also very easy to operate. The machines nowadays are touchscreen to select your stitch.
  8. How is it fraud if you meet the requirement? Other than (maybe) wearing weights, I'm not seeing it.
  9. I would just also add that in the very unlikely event of serious complication, you will be glad to be covered fully by the insurance since you went through them for the surgery. Good luck. Cigna is not too difficult to deal with. They paid for my surgery 100%.
  10. The doc will explain each surgery offered, like the mechanics of each and how it works, and also take a medical history in order to recommend which procedure or procedures would be best for you.
  11. Welcome! Stick around these boards, there is so much essential information that is shared here. Good luck and remember this is your body and your life. Only you know what is right for you!!!
  12. I think it's a combo of vanity sizing and wls. For sure a 10 today is more like a 12 was back in the 90s for example. But, I also have become very narrow in areas that were not that way the last time I was around this weight. I guess it's the rapid loss.
  13. In an emergency double up on the milk of mag (4tbsp). Drink plenty of water with it.
  14. Daily just before my shower. I also write on my calender
  15. Yes this is a forever decision. Please don't be afraid to cancel if you are not ready for this step!
  16. Hello all my 9/8 friends! Down 60 lbs so far, feeling great! I love the pics, you all look fabulous! Way to go :)
  17. I didn't think so. Then I tried this tea. I took the box into work months ago for others to have and it's still there. And believe me, I work with a large group of scavengers.
  18. The Bengal spice was too strong for me. Way too much cinnamon for my taste. I believe it's just spices and herbs and such.
  19. I would encourage you to contact your bariatric team and insist on being seen by the doc. At the very least you could get anti nausea meds. Good luck and I'm sorry you are experiencing this.
  20. Congrats! You are in for an exciting ride
  21. Ok so we are talking about dehydration. Uh huh. Good to know.
  22. Serious question: it sounds like you are suggesting that miralax or other such remedies can cause death for a person that has undergone DS surgery. Is that actually true? I'm sorry it seems farfetched.
  23. When opportunity knocks you answer the door!!
