  1. Why not just eat something? I don't understand the question.
  2. I like how they did it as a duet, it changes the perspective of the song. The man's voice is really beautiful, too.
  3. Well, I am in the 150s now at 7.5 months. I get what you are saying but the fact is that I qualified for surgery with a bmi of 35 with comorbid conditions. My surgery was covered 100% by insurance. I don't think you feel this way, but there are some out there that seem to think that those if us that are "only" 60 to 80 pounds overweight are not deserving of an effective and lasting treatment. I happen to disagree. It may be counterintuitive, but the truth is that outcomes are better when patients don't wait until they reach the much higher bmi to seek surgery.
  4. Or maybe her goal was to weigh 150?
  5. @@Invictus Yours may be different, but my orders were not to lift anything over 10 pounds for the first 2 weeks after surgery.
  6. Smaller band (torso) will increase cup size. Cup size (the letter) is the difference between the band and the fullest part of the breast.
  7. I think a big part of the issue here is that the shorts are not flattering you in this picture. Have you ever tried pilates? I've been doing megaformer pilates and I have seen a huge difference in only 6 classes. There is an accommodation available for any kind of injury. You just let them know at the beginning what your issues are. Anyway just a thought. If you Google megaformer pilates and your city you should get a result or two. Most places seem to offer a free intro class to try it. You still look fab!
  8. 7 months ago: size 16 Bought a new pantsuit last week: 10 pants, large blouse, 12 jacket. Did I mention size 10 pants and non-stretch everything!
  9. They sell an adult Tylenol liquid that works great. You can take it every 4 hours. Just make sure you take it by the clock. That plus the heating pad should be plenty for you after the first couple days. Best of luck!!
  10. All of these are great suggestions. Definitely add a preemptive snack. Definitely make a plan for what you will do with your self during those times to keep busy until bedtime. Someone wise once said that failing to plan is like planning to fail
  11. Not for one minute actually. Not even immediately after surgery. Not during the three weeks of liquids only that I was allowed on my plan, not during the three weeks after that of only soft foods. Super happy with my decision. Currently 7 months out.
  12. @@Weighting2BeFree which doc are you referring to? I think it would be helpful for people to know as they are researching, especially since so many patients travel from out of state to Texas for surgery.
  13. Ha ha, maybe I should!
  14. I wasn't allowed lettuce till week 7 after surgery.
  15. It has been discussed on here before that there seem to be a large number of nurses on this board. There seem to be some job related factors there.
  16. The other thing to consider is what might happen financially if you have any complications (especially if serious).
  17. Well. She's a psychiatrist and not a bariatrician. So, I wouldn't weigh her input on wls all that heavily if it was me.
  18. The weight loss is not freakishly rapid. Some people might have suspicions but it's not that obvious and it's no one's business. Don't worry, just smile and say thanks when the compliments come.
  19. What about chicken, beef, eggs, veg, starch? What are you eating on a daily basis?
  20. It's an insecurity thing, don't sweat it. Just make sure he knows how great you think he is. Also , whatever you do, don't lecture him about his eating or weight.
  21. Walk as much as possible as soon as you can, and don't worry! Good luck to you :)
  22. Your best bet is to ask your bariatric doc for a referral to a pcp for the clearance/letter.
