  1. Shavonna, very happy for you. I would stay away from anything acidic like tomato Soup and fruit. Hang in there. You should feel good real soon. I never had a sick day and felt wonderful, and I feel bad for those who do not have it as easy. Always trust your body and gut instinct to tell you something is really wrong, but maybe having a restful weekend, you will feel better on Monday. Good luck!
  2. I have read about this pain from so many. We had only a little pain in the shoulder. We both had hiatal hernias but I am sure it is from the sleeving itself. The doctor mentions it could be another complication to cover his bases, but always remember when in doubt, trust your gut instinct and get to the ER! I hope you feel better son. Relax and rest.
  3. Ann, I always equate 5 lbs lost to a 5 lb. bag of sugar, 3o lbs. would be carrying 6 5-lb. bags of sugar. I have lost 60 lbs, and it is an amazing difference. Good luck.
  4. Wishing all of you the best for future surgery and post surgery. Life is so good after the sleeve. I have more new clothes than I have had in 10 years, and I love getting dressed up and going out. I love my husband telling me every day how good I look. I honestly had one bathing suit, black, for 20 years (barely worn). Now I have 20 new swimsuits and loving them all. I can tell you I am a great bargain shopper because I can walk without pain in the mall now. I also do not gasp for breath, and do not need the asthma inhalers now.
  5. Well heck I loved FAT sex! Skinny sex is better! Hahahahaha, you always shake it up Lipstick! LOL
  6. Hah! I still head for the plus sizes and then have to double back LOL! Seems we all love the new shopping experiences!
  7. My husband weighed 100 more lbs. than me. He lost faster and more than I have. We barely weigh right now. Just trying to keep on track which is hard being out of town on vacation. The temptation is still there, easy to eat what you shouldn't when you leave home. Good luck!
  8. Best wishes!!!
  9. 1. I can sleep at night without worrying my husband will be unconscious during the night when his blood sugar dropped to 40. 2. I got a kayak for my birthday this month instead of a new recliner. 3. I went to NOLA for 7 days last week and walked more than I have in 3 years. Blessed!
  10. Just tried to cope. Have never weighed anything or counted calories, Protein, etc. per the doctor's orders. Constantly drank Water, broth and popsicles first few days. Hang in there.
  11. I took Source of Life liquid Gold - available on Amazon. 9 months post sleeve I am finally back to the big Vitamin. I had a pharmacist friend recommend Source of Life. I added extra Iron, B-12 shots. One bottle lasted about 3 months and I loved the taste. You can see the white bottle online if interested. Best of luck!
  12. Guilty too! I am going to stop having drinks near me when eating. I think I am eating slow and I look next to me and my husband has barely taken 2-3 bites and my plate is empty. Hang in there! We are living and learning! Good luck.
  13. Miss Mac, I can relate. Good post. God Bless.
  14. I have firsthand knowledge of the online Indictment and criminal record of Omar, which states he has a significant criminal history, and the fact that he fled to Mexico to avoid going to jail. I believe the poster who started this thread that there are terrible things this Omar has done. I have firsthand knowledge that he works for this doctor because it is all over the Internet.
  15. There was a time I was bedridden with horrible pain and I could do nothing but occupy myself online since I could not walk or move. I realized I was letting my pain make me extra irritable and I backed off and started avoiding posts that bothered me. I have no cronies here. I try to be very supportive to people who are new here. I do not feel I have slammed anyone ever. In the future please block me because I do not agree with you that I have personally slammed a newbie. This is a serious thread. I am a 68 year old grandmother, and one thing I have never been in my life is arrogant. Have a good day. I will continue to help people and I will continue to be bothered by this thread which I feel is very serious. You tell me I slammed you so you are trying to get revenge? Darned if I don't feel slammed. Omar is a criminal. If you have read every post here like I have, you would know there are many insinuations that Omar (former gang member), has people posting on his behalf, and he is probably here himself. I speak up on behalf of other women who have been victims here. Have a good evening.
  16. I understand addictions in a terrible way. Your Mother cannot make informed decisions for you. Change your life. Go to Alanon. Like my deceased sister said once, we are all addicted to something. Fight your battle and be strong. Love, hugs and prayers. God Bless.
  17. Focus on YOU, not your Mom's problems. God Bless honey! Good luck!
  18. No, I have never met the lothario (a man who behaves selfishly and irresponsibly in his sexual relationships with women) Mr. Wonderful aka Omar. I am too old and not his type. There was a day when I could have been a victim, dumb, lonely, and naive. HE is not my type. I just pegged him for what he is. Maybe it is my experience with law enforcement. wrongdoing, and Victims. Only a fool would not see there is something wrong with what is going on in Mexico with Omar and HIS medical team. He lures them, he wines, dines, and whatever else, the doc operates on them. End of story. And who are you, Lora V who joined March 2014 with 5 posts?
  19. We eat one meal a day, and drink bouillion, eat SF popsicles, when hungry. Lots of Crystal Light. The key for us is staying busy and out of the kitchen, and most important, have no chips/snacks/sugar in the house. There are so many doctors/guidelines/rules. Thank God our surgeon told us not to eat 3 meals a day, eat only when hungry, and just eat healthy. Good luck, I know it is hard sometimes.
  20. I drove to the grocery store 2 days after the sleeve and walked the mall 5 days later. Our surgeon advised do not eat 3 meals a day and eat only when hungry, so missing meals should not be a problem. You will have bloodwork done to see how you are doing, at 4 weeks. I almost felt I had no surgery, there was no pain. Also had a hernia repair. Sounds like you are doing great. I always keep liquids with me - other than that I can head out for the day with little or nothing. Take care! Linda
