  1. sorry sknyinside the link you posted was to the greentea. I am looking for the black tea with lemon. gnc has it on the website and 3x's ive ordered and 3x's they cancelled my order. according to them its on "backorder" this has been 4 months ongoing. no prize for you! but thanks.
  2. I live by the Isopure drinks (just got a case of the green tea in today) You have to try them for yourself. There are so many flavors to choose from I started with the variety pack and now I have tried just about every flavor out (except the elusive black tea. I offer a reward to anyone who actually finds a bottle out there) I have a big 20 oz cup and i fill it with ice and i drink on 1 bottle all through out the day. I've tried just about everything out there in terms of protein drinks and this is by far for me the best. My favorite flavors are apple melon and grape. But coming in a close second was syntax nectar again multiple fruit flavors available but i just did not like the artificial sweetness. Hope this helps

    Recipes for pureed foods

I had my 2 week appt today too. Best ever recipe someone posted was chicken pureed in blender w lite mayo and a little broth to help puree. Place a few oz in bowl add small amt of Franks red hot wing sauce and a little bit of lite blue cheese dressing. This was soo good.

    Vitamin Suggestions

I take GNC Womens Ultra Mega liquid multi vitamin. I also have the Bariatric Advantage chewable but I plan to start those around month 2 or 3. My Dr. and nut both said it is a excellent choice and when I had blood work done last week everything was in a normal range. BTW Unjury ships super fast. When I order powders I get them in like 3-4 days.

I walked did I over do it?

I was sleeved on the 14th and I still get tired all the time. I can only get through 20min of a 45 min walking in place work out video. I have done a lot of shopping and window shopping at local malls and outlets. I find this has helped as I love to shop and the motivation to discover new finds kinda takes my mind off of my tiredness. But i usually need to lay down as soon as I get back home.

    Tips for gas?!

Walk, walk and more walking. And gas-x. Sit on toilet and rock side to side.
  9. I order it from gnc.com. There are a few other places that sell it online too.
  10. I was sleeved on Oct 14th. I feel mostly great! My top 2 life savers have been Isopure ready to drink. 40 grams of protein per 20 oz bottle. Tastes like institutional kool-aid. (like the kool-aid guy doesn't have the big smile he's just like "meh") It's not so bad. They have all kinds of flavors.... apple-melon, fruit punch, passion fruit, green tea w/lemon, mango peach, grape, etc. Much better option than the vanilla chocolate stinky stuff. I fill a large cup with ice and drink on this all day. ***I set a reminder on my cell phone to ping me every 15 minutes to remind me to hydrate*** My 2nd life saver is Unjury chicken. Tastes like chicken oodles of noodles ramen w/o the noodles. I have been able to get in just about all of my liquid and protein every day.

    All The Single Ladies...

I can't wait to start dating again. I really miss male attention. I also miss sex. I'll confess a secret little joke I have with myself. Ok, I HATE exercise. More than anything in the entire world and it's been this way my whole life even before I was morbidly obese. However I know it is now an essential part of my weight loss and body transformation. So I tell myself I am training for the holympics. ho + olympics = holympics. (crass I know but it makes me workout )
  12. I was sleeved on Oct 14 and released 3 days later. After a few days at home I began to have chest pain if I took a deep breath. My doctor advised to to continue taking my ppi and increase my gas-ex and this actually helped. However, the pain is now felt in my lower left back area. Again only when I inhale deeply. Besides this I feel absolutely great. No nausea, no vomiting, no fever. I am not on any pain meds. I have regular bowel movements daily. Im getting in all my fluids and protein. Mostly still liquid diet but some applesauce, yogurt, etc. Anyone else experience anything like this?
  13. I'm sending positive vibes your way. I know what it's like to have no support. But my situation is different. Try calling a meeting and sitting everyone down and just again explaining that if something happens to you then the show stops for everyone. So its in their best interest to help you get through this and after another week or 2 you will feel much better. I just said a prayer for you.
  14. I huffed repeatedly sniffed a friends glass of wine while she was in the bathroom. I was hoping to get buzzed. FAIL.
  15. I have really gained a lot following this thread. I too asked myself just earlier today if I will ever again be able enjoy a bite of this or a small piece of that again. But, I am reminded that I had a food addiction and it is what lead me to an operating room table to be gutted like a fish 12 days ago. For me the choice has been made. I personally CHOOSE healthy foods from now on. And, I will devote my time to learning about new spices and seasonings and techniques to make the healthy food just as tasty as the unhealthy foods that put me where I am today. I've seen both sides of the coin and until 8 years ago I was thin and sexy. I can say that nothing tastes as good as I used to feel. Thank you to both sides of this discussion.

    Should I Buy a Vitamix?

I love my vitamix! I have been able to make the freshest soups to enjoy as I am still post op liquids. I use it at least twice a day for soups and protein smoothies.
  17. It really does get better. My pain eased up around day 7. I also backed off the pain meds and upped my gas-ex strips. They helped a lot with the gas pain. And WALK.
  18. Seriously, What was your surgeons advise about coffee? My doctor says no caffeine and I'm ok with that because I never liked soda anyway. Joe is much more than caffeine. Joe is my friend, my assistant and I depend on Joe to produce at a top level each day at work. I just need a 6 oz cup first thing in the morning, no sugar, no cream. (i once mixed it with chocolate splendor unjury, ice, light soy milk and a squirt of sf caramel syrup...it was better than anything served at the over hyped chain coffee shop with the green logo) I am good with my liquid intake 6 days out and already getting in 60+ oz and I'm not craving food AT ALL. But, life just doesn't seem right without Joe. I miss Joe. I need Joe.
