  1. 2 days in a row at work people have asked me if Ive lost weight. It's already starting and Im only down 27 lbs from my highest weight. I'm guessing I should get ready to hear it all once I start losing significant amounts in the coming months. I was just on Face book and some people were talking about exercise routines, one girl was super exited that she lost 10 lbs in a month. And here I was super depressed about the 27 lbs I've lost this month. I guess I'm just too eager for the smaller sizes and feeling beautiful.
  2. I'm so sorry, that seems quite depressing. Would he mind going to therapy with you to see what he deal is with being intimate?
  3. My husband never asks what the scale says, Im really glad he doesn't. You better believe once I get to below 185lbs I will definately tell him how much I weigh. That means I weigh less than him and I havent been there since my son was born in 2010.
  4. I had horrible pain on my right hadn side for i felt like ever. It finally went away around 3 weeks post op. It was a pulling, burning pain that when ever I used my abdominal muscles would ache. I couldn't even sneeze beccause if I did it would hurt.
  5. Good Luck. I had my surgery 5 weeks ago. Im down 25 lbs from my starting weight. It is a totally different feeling to look at such a small amount of food and be totally full and satisfied. I never dreamed that would happen, but it is true. We are all nervous, excited, hoping for the best outcome.
  6. My husband and I finally did some bedroom activity after I was totally done being sore and in pain from surgery. That 25lbs gone made a world of difference in the action.
  7. Wahoo! 4 lbs away from being out of the 220's for me! Way to go!
  8. So I'm about to be told a whiner so bear with me. I have hit another intermission has been a week since I've lost anything besides the 4 pounds I lost briefly after my last intermission. Ugh. It seems like I might be one of the slow revision losers that has been mentioned before. Plus it seems that eating At work will become a chore. We only ever get 30 minutes to eat at a time. I may have to ask my boss if I can take an extra 10 to really focus on eating.
  9. I cramp up with water as well. Anything else goes down just fine. It doesn't even have to be a big sip of water.
  10. Eggs always fill me up way before a half of a cup. 1 scrambled egg is all I can handle.
  11. I hope so too. Feel better soon.
  12. I lost 15 lbs before I hit a 12 day stall and didn't lose an ounce. I just kept doing what I was supposed to and lost 5 lbs this last week. I haven't weighed my self yet, I'm doing that on Friday but I suspect I've lost a few more pounds. Don't be discouraged. I'm getting around the same amount as you and I'm only a week or so ahead of you right now.
  13. Thanks about the advice. We are color coordinated so all the scrubs I have to have are going to be maroon. I am back at work now. I'm in 2x scrubs and thay are looser on my even though I've only lost 25 lbs. I will keep these ones for a bit longer and keep my options open for later.
  14. Had my first day of work yesterday. I took an easy assignment and by the end of the day I Was Wiped out. Not lethargic, just tired. Lay ed my head down last night and slept like a baby, I havent slept this good since my surgery. I was a bit sore this morning, mainly in my arms since I haven't lifted over 20 lbs for a month. I work again tonight and tomorrow.
  15. I'm so sorry you are having this complication and that you feel this way. Buyers remorse is totallty normal and expected when you have gone through what you are now. No one ever knows if we will have complications or not, or how detrimental the complications may be. I'm hoping that in the next coming months, especially after the clot goes and you're able to handle food that you change your mind about your surgery. You aren't selfish to think about, love and care for yourself. If you don't take care of you, you wont be able to take care of anyone else, especially your son. Just know that at the end of all of this he will never blame you for fighting for a healthier you, for fighting to make sure you were there for him through everything and that the weight that hinders you now, wont in the future. I will pray long and hard for you tonight that God will give you the relief you so despirately need. With Love.
  16. Okay, going off of Beni's post. I will make my own about my NSV's and my scale victories. Scale victories: 10% of my body weight gone. (DONE 11/2/14) 50 lbs gone Onederland 75 lbs gone Goal weight of 130 lbs. Non-scale victories: Crossing my legs, Wearing heels without feeling like I'm going to fall and die. Wear cute boots and be able to wear my pants under them. Be around a size 12 for my birthday (4/26) Vaniety size of an 8 couch to 5K run with my daughter( she's 8) Going on my honeymoon and actually feel sexy (been married 3 years and have yet to go to our honeymoon). We are planning on going in June. Wearing a cute swimming suit that fits. Get out of plus size clothing stores. And the biggest one of them all: to actually feel Beautiful.
  17. Wearing a swimming suit and feeling proud about it.
  18. He could have an illness. My husband weighed 260 lbs at 5'8" and once he became diabetic he went down to 185 lbs. He now hovers between 185 to 200 lbs depending on his diet. He has stayed in this range for 4 1/2 years.
  19. Only 4 weeks post op, but you now never have to worry if the food on your plate will be enough to fill you up. It will always be too much, especially at restaurants.
  20. Depending on the foods I can get 6 oz at the most. I am 4 weeks post op. Most times I can't get more than 3-4 oz of foods in. I'm on soft solids and since I began it, I cant really get more than the 4 oz in. My nutritionist said I can have up to a cup of food but I can't ever get close to that at this point. I have at least 1 protein shake a day.
  21. So I did my 1st month stats. I'm down 25 lbs from highest weight, 17 lbs from surgery weight. I'm down 28 inches throughout my body and 2 dress sizes. I say that's a pretty good accomplishment so far.
  22. Wahoo on the sizes! I can't wait to be a 14, I think that is a good 20lbs from now though.
  23. I want so badly to buy a size 8, that is 10 sizes down from what I am now. I'm just so nervous to go out and actually purchase it.
  24. You will do just fine. I am 4 weeks post op from the revision and am as new as can be. I had to have a few new scars but if you rub cocoa butter and vitamin E oil on them it should lessen the severity of the scar. My new scars are lighter than my old ones.
  25. I don't consider protein drinks meals. That is the only way I can get my recommended protein in.
