  1. Yes! Our A/C at the office is being repaired and its close to 30c in our building if you have a window office. Everyone around me is stripping down to the bare minimum of clothing acceptable at work where as I am just comfy in my long sleeves and dress pants. Love the sun streaming in through my window and with no a/c blowing on me I don't have to wear my heavy sweater. They all think I'm nuts????
  2. Benefibre, chia seeds in my yogurt and some smooth move tea (a couple x's a week) are the only things that seem to work for me right now. It has changed over time. At one point the only thing that worked was prunes in warm water...then it stopped working and since I really didn't care for them...I stopped it. Every few months though, it seems i have to switch things up again. Most importantly I must keep up my water intake or nothing works for me
  3. I had surgery 11 months ago and started with hair just past my shoulders and every hair cut have gone shorter and shorter since. I too was hiding behind my hair. Now I have a pixie cut and LOVE it! Not for everyone for sure though. As you mentioned, try not to do anything rushed. Try it bit by bit as growing it back is not as easy.
  4. 51 (closing in on 52 real soon????) Married almost 27 years and we haven't killed each other yet 3 children (21, 19, 16) Enjoying our beautiful spring weather - well as beautiful as it gets in April in central Alberta (Canada) Hoping to retire in 5 years 11 months out and enjoying life in my new healthy body Hoping to lose another 20 lbs for my personal goal, but my Dr is absolutely thrilled with my new weight as it stands These boards have been my savings grace both pre and post surgery! I read them every day and remind myself why it's so important to remember why I signed up for WLS and never give up even when I just want to devour a chocolate cake, well okay maybe just a timbit or two now (aka a donut hole for the non-Canadians)
  5. I was always having very spicy meals before WLS. However, since surgery I have not been able to handle it. It's actually quite frustrating because I love the taste of spicy foods but my sleeve will not tolerate it any more.
  6. Yup, I tell no one. My husband and kids know. People comment on my weight loss and ask how I'm doing it. They see that I work out every noon hour and note that I have really changed What I eat. I tell them I track everything food and exercise plus I do not eat anything with more than 5 gems of sugar and keep my carbs low. Plus that I try to eat whole foods and very limited process foods. All of which is true!????
  7. Posting early Starting weight 165 Goal weight 158
  8. Wow, fantastic work. Great idea too - I'm going to add in some stairs to my routine too! I need a better ass too ????
  9. It's called the Memorial Day challenge - not sure how to link it from my iPad
  10. For me, nothing really stopped the hair loss except time. I was losing hair from approx 3-6 months out. I have no issues now (11months out). In fact it's nice a full again, however, I have gone to a short pixie cut, just because I can ????
  11. I don't go anywhere with out my fitbit on. It's become an addiction to see how many steps I can get in a day. It's a very good motivator for me to keep moving!

Me oh, okay I can wait. I'm used to places not having MY size. Wait....did you just say Extra Small. She looks at me like I am crazy - well of course what did you think I said.
