  1. Way to go Jenngottaloseit! That is fabulous news for you and congrats on the weight loss!
  2. Shelley513, you look amazing. I just had my surgery on May 14th and your photos are so inspiring! Thank you for posting them
  3. Hey TonyaNKY Here is a link to a PDF for guidelines to follow after a vertical sleeve surgery. Although I did not have my surgery at the Missouri University (I'm in Canada) I found this guide very thorough. Hope it helps! http://www.muhealth.org/documents/bariatric/bariatric%20booklet%20vsg.pdf

  5. Hey al May 14th and15th sleevers, How is every one doing? I lost 16 lbs in my first two weeks and haven't budged in the last week. Started on puréed" foods and have had a few issues with keeping it down. Mostly because I think oh I'm almost full, just one more bite...well that bite always puts me over the edge. Guess the tool that I asked for is working. I need to get the signal understood in my head down pat so that I don't do this anymore. So far so good yesterday and today. Is everyone getting their Protein in? I finally got my isopure no carb liquid drinks in and between those or my greek yogurt and real good I am managing pretty good. Plus I am drinking 60-70 oz of Water every day. Looking forward to hearing from everyone!
  6. Sound great, really looking forward to connecting with all of you. Glad to hear that you liked the isopure RedsMomX3. I ordered some Isopure before my surgery but it still hasn't arrived. We can not buy it in stores in Canada yet (at least not that I have found). I am getting my H2o in but my Protein intake is sadly lacking right now. Some where around 30gms on average. Every Protein powder that I have tried since surgery I can not drink. They seem way too sweet. So I am really hoping that I can manage the tastes of these. I bought 12 bottles of different flavours......
  7. Hey Dragon Fly and other lets all try to keep in touch since our surgery dates are all within a day or two!
  8. Hi there, I am in Edmonton too and just had my surgery through the weigh wise program at the Royal Alex on May 14th!
  9. Hey Dragon Fly I was sleeved on the 14th. Sounds like you really need to up your Water intake. It really will help rid your body of the excess fluids they pumped into you via your IV. I only think I figured out a way that works for me to get the 8 glasses of water in yesterday but I was doing ok before. I use the little Dixie cups (3oz) and drink 3 of these an hour. Plus I make sure to get out and walk around the house every hour to help with the gas. Although, this hasn't been horrendous for me. I have lost 8 iOS since being home but I notice it fluctuates daily. Right now do your best to get your liquids in so you do not get dehydrated -Nancy
  10. Had surgery on the 14th as well. Went very well only main issue is gas as noted by others. Sipping on my water, managed almost 3 cups yesterday but that included my chicken broth. Hoping that counts! Looking forward to my journey
