  1. How do you define a stall? Specifically bouncing within X amount of pounds for more than X days. How do you define a "slow loser?" Specifically, "no more than X pounds over the course of X days." I'm a quantitative kind of guy and like to know my numbers. -HL
  2. I'm starting to think I'm a slow loser. I take 100mg nightly. It's just not biologically possible for me to not lose weight at 700 calories a day seroquel or not.
  3. Checked with my doctor. NO EXERCISE beyond walking until mu 2 week checkup. Boooooooooo
  4. I was 8 days post-op so I got to drink mine!
  5. Rocco Dispirito has a similar recipe that is rocking. I suggest his recipe books.
  6. I'm not a doctor, but I've heard of this. Ask your surgeon. Ask why it happened. Ask what the chances of it recurring again are. I know my hiatle was "fixed" with just a few stitches between my stomach and diaphragm so the method of fixing may have been undone by the removal (?). Good luck.
  7. ICE. Pour over ice. I had a few before I bought a ton and they were ok so I bought more. MAN are my senses out of wack because the DO smell rotten sometimes. I found pouring them over ice made big difference for me. I think it diluted it a bit and got me out of the mindset. I had to give away all the expensive Protein shots I bought. They were the WORST.
  8. I came home and they said do clear for ONE more day then you can go to whole liquids. I tracked time from there.
  9. See you on the sleeved side! It's worth it. Never forget that.
  10. I know the urge. I know it's not what you want to hear, but the more you drink all day long the less thirsty and less of a desire it will be.
  11. I'm so sorry to hear that. It must be incredibly frustrating. Are you on the top of the waiting list? Will your insurance approval transfer? That's the first step. Also, you may have to go through a new doctor's "program" as well. May be more work than it's worth. I think I made it through my process as fast as humanly possible without self-paying and it still took 5 months.
  12. I'm so sorry to hear your husband is doing this. While I'm sure he thinks he's only helping, I'm sure you want to smack him. I agree with the poster that said to turn the tables on him. Ask him every day what his weight is or check it on the scale and discuss it with him and the decisions he made the previous day that could have contributed to his weight. IT IS 100% PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE, but when "jokin" talking about it and a "serious" talking to don't work I absolutely support stooping to his level
  13. Can you explain more? I don't understand.
  14. Day 1 and 2 were pretty bad. I'll be honest. I smacked a nurses hand when she waved a alcohol pad in front of me! Get out of my way I'm gonna puke! The Zonfran wasn't working at all, so it turned out to be that I'm REALLY sensitive to dilaudid, so when we changed the pain med the nausea went away and never came back.
  15. In the middle of purees right now. I am living off of.... Isopure Zero Carb drinks Refried Beans with salsa and fat free cheese (blended) Shelly's Bake Ricotta (a lighter version, she uses full fat ingredients) sugar free popsicles Black beans with greek yogurt and salsa Blended Soups
  16. ProtiDiet chicken Protein Soup (REALLY GOOD!) Isopure Zero Carb drinks Siggi's Fat Free Yogurt sugar free Popsicles That was it for a solid week and just about all I could handle
  17. EAS Advantedge shakes for Breakfast, lunch, snack. I was allowed 4 oz of meat and unlimited salad with fat free dressing for dinners.
  18. I found that upping my exercise helped a lot, but it wasn't sufficient. Finally, I asked my doctor for a sleep aid while my body adjusts to so many new routines. So, I'm taking Lunesta and it's great. Getting 8-9 solid hours. It's not as crazy as ambien, so there's not sleep walking or eating like ambien.
  19. Wow! Great work. Congrats on your success!
  20. I had the same "problem." Everyone on here said not to stress. I did anyway. Called my NP and surgeon. Both said that I should count my blessings that I can get in a lot of liquids. The size of your stomach will become more clear with purees and apparently even more so on solids. Most people are dehydrated now. Drink up and eat slowly. You're in a good spot! I'd call your doctor anyway just for peace of mind.
  21. Yeah. It's a little panicky, but when in doubt, wait it out!
  22. I'm going to offer them as transition clothes to people on here and then donate what's left.
  23. So I had my 2oz puree at 5:15. Ever since, it's felt like something is stuck just above my stomach. Feels like my hiatle hernia, but I know that was repaired. I'm not hungry and drinking isn't helping resolved this. I'm going to postpone an hour before eating again as I don't want to skip. Thoughts? Am I just being anxious and that's the little lump?
