SuperFab got a reaction from melessig in Any February 2014 Sleevers?
I just add ground turkey, one egg, chopped onions, grated cheddar and a half a sleeve of crushed crackers. I was out of Tomato sauce so so I used a bit of ketchup on top. They are about 75 calories each. 13g Protein

SuperFab reacted to amandamaybeso in 6mo post op. Down 101lbs. My success ..
Let me begin with I'm 23 years old & have struggled with weight my entire life. Many times I have lost significants amounts of weight to only gain it back (& more) . This weight fluctuation was constant from age 12-23. In 2011 I weighed 180lbs. In August 2013 I weighed my highest as 318lbs. I new my last result had to be surgery. I went for the vertical sleeve on October 21 2013 . And let me tell you, BEST decision I have ever made. Today , 4/14/2014 (less then SIX months post op!) I have shed -101lbs. Day of surgery I weighed in at 304lbs Today I weigh in at 203lbs Here are some pics. Hope to inspire & give hope to anyone considering VSG! Before (week before surg) & After (april 2014)

Wow, everyone is doing so awesome!!
    Date of surgery 2/11/14
    Starting weight 257
    Surgery weight 246
    Current weight 216
I also stall if I don't get enough calories. For me, the right range is 800-900 calories and 70-80 gms of Protein. I never get my Water in, usually only 40 ozs. Went from a size 20 to 16. I am 5'10" and I had a lower BMI. I miss the diet coke!!!

    SW = 246 lbs (Highest ever 262)
    Surgery Date 02/27/14 = 234 lbs
    Current Weight = 215 lbs
Down a total of 31 lbs @ 6 weeks post op.
Was in size 18-20 (5' 6 1/2") and now in some 14's-lose 16's! I cannot wait to get below the 200 lb mark! That is my first goal I have set for myself! I actually weighed 215 fully clothed yesterday and my dr office takes off 3 lbs for clothing so they charted me at 212. It's working! Just have to try a little harder on getting in more fluids. I am feeling all of your pain/struggle when it comes to slow bowels. I'm definitely going to try the V8 Splash I saw someone mention. I'm not a fan of Milk of Mag etc I don't care for the whole ex-lax feeling of going uncontrollably and horrible stomach cramps. Good luck to you all! Everyone is doing great!

I've done the opposite. Find clothes I haven't been able to wear ever, or not for a long time, and they fit perfectly!

Superfab is right, your hormones are going crazy as your body does its thing kick starting major weight loss and releasing hormones. That can really make you crazy.
There's also the whole thing of going through a major change. Even when we want things to be different, we get scared. You know who you are, where you fitted in in life. Or at least you did until you started to look different and feel different. Now who are you? Where do you fit? Don't know about you, but those are fundamental questions that shook me up until I got used to the new me.
All I can tell you is that it will pass and you will begin to go with it. It takes time to recognise the person in the mirror, but let me tell you it is wonderful. I am coming up for my first anniversary and I can put my hand on my heart and say I would do it all again, despite the crying, the pain, the stalls and all the other stuff that's happened on the rollercoaster of being sleeved. My life has been transformed - I am transformed.
Good luck, but keeping talking and if your feelings don't improve, get the right help :-)

Umm... You just got home and are in pain. You just had 85% of a major organ removed. I was in serious pain for a long time. Totally normal.

Not trying to sound harsh with the last post but my pain levels weren't a 3 or 4. More like a 7 or 8. I'd had 4 previous surgeries and given birth and none compared to the pain I felt with this surgery.

I have two cases of premiere Protein that I've been working in for six weeks. I know exactly what you mean with them. I really like the Jay Robb shakes, they're really thin and light tasting and they have a citrus/tropical one that's good:-)

Hey all!! Hope you're all doing fabulous!!! Sorry I've been kind of offline for a bit. Got busy with work and stuff. I'll try to be better at keeping in contact. Things are going well for me. I'm pretty much on a low-carb diet plan. Just last week, I got to add veggies to my diet, so I'm stoked about that. meat, cheese, and eggs gets a little monotonous. Here are my stats: Starting weight - 294 Day of surgery (2/17/14) - 277 Current weight - 240 I'm down to an 18 in pants from a tight 24 and XL shirts from a 3X. And I've gone down to a D from a DDD. I was hoping I wouldn't lose my boobs so fast, but I guess I'll take a loss where I can! Lol

I really thought I'd miss drinking while I ate. It really doesn't bother me. I don't get in as much liquid as I did Bc I'd guzzle throughout my meal and refill my drink at least once. But it doesn't bother me and I don't really miss it. It's just more of an inconvenience of sorts. Lol

It's difficult to get solids out when no solids are going in. Don't worry, soon you will be posting a thread asking just the opposite.
BTW, the answer to that question is Milk of Magnesia.
