My nut said that I'll have three weeks full liquids after surgery. Others only have one or two weeks. Just follow whatever your surgeon says so you don't harm your new tiny tummy.

Wow. I honestly just thought it was me. I'm bipolar and I've been "stable" on these meds for over a year, which is difficult to do. My last appt before surgery is scheduled is in a couple of weeks and I feel like a ticking time-bomb of emotions. I feel better just reading that it isn't just me. That other people understand. My friend's 19 year old daughter passed away from leukemia. Had hair loss off and on since she was in the 5th grade. I guess to me there are always worse reasons for hair loss. I'm not in any way trying to downplay your feelings, just trying to state that it could always be worse. Hang in there, it'll grow back.

Can't you be fitted for a face mask? The one they put on me covered both my nose and mouth.

I felt like I didn't sleep a lick until they brought the CPAP. The wires made me feel awkward but I was ok after I was asleep.
