  1. I have GERD and take protonix morning and evening. Just remember to take your antacid alone and about 30 min before any other meds or a meal.
  2. I'm guilty as a meat poker too. Ugh. Now I can't even touch raw meat. I blame the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies. I always likes their wit and insight so I'm missing LV and GG. This sucks. April
  3. Dayum!!! That's awesome. I mean, the pre-op must've sucked butt but that weightloss is phenomenal.
  4. I guess I'm more like you, Pat. I was given a diet at my first nutrition appointment. Was told to have a shake for breakfast and for lunch and dinner I'm to have a lean n green meal of protein n veggies. That was in September. I've only lost 16 pounds total because I've been having too many food funerals. They said as long as I don't GAIN I'm ok. My two week pre-op diet starts feb 4 the and will be the exact same except I am to have a half shake added to my lean n green meals for 11 days and 3 days of liquids on days 12, 13 and 14. April
  5. yeah. The texture and the tang. Tell try blending smooth and I don't use sour cream. But maybe my tastes will change for the tang after surgery.
  6. That would've been fun but need more ppl

I took it and Neurontin for neuropathy pain from a spinal injury until I started taking Lyrica. It was like a miracle drug. No more walking using a walker. The Cymbalta made me unable to orgasm and it made me sweat excessively.

Cymbalta was the worst! And Zoloft. Now I'm on abilify, lamictal and tegritol and am a happy camper.
  9. be sure n let me know how it affects the dumping. Mine isn't until feb 18.
  10. Another form of manipulation. Preying on your emotions. I'd just scoot the bag out of the way. Once she stops trying to control you and calms down she's gonna want her gifts back.
  11. I can do thick soups. It's just that weird grainy texture that freaks me out and makes me gag. Hummus, cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, applesauce, cream of wheat. Maybe it'll be different after surgery.
  12. I'm the odd man out I guess. I can't stand the taste of fage yogurt, cottage cheese freaks me out because of the texture. So does cream of wheat and applesauce. I'm screwed

I take meds for bipolar disorder and I don't have any problems having an orgasm or three, but when I was on regular antidepressants it was like taking me to the finish line and not letting me cross it. Horrible.
  14. ReDbEaN I'm booooored!!!
  15. Wow! What beautiful girls!! And they definitely have a beautiful mom. Inside and out. You are very courageous and stronger than you know. Do what's right for you and your kids. Children learn to accept the treatment their parents accept. You getting them out of a bad environment is brave and will help their personal psyches as they develop. I'm proud of you. April
  16. I have gastritis and severe GERD and am taking protonix twice daily so it's considered controlled. Isn't stopping me.
  17. Thank you. It's a natural sweetener that doesn't make me run to the bathroom after using it. Lol
  18. Is Sobe the drink with stevia as a sweetener?
  19. Mine is different. I have a shake for breakfast, half a shake and lean protein n veggies for lunch. Dinner is same as lunch. Lots of sf Popsicles and cottage cheese or yogurt as snack
  20. At my final meeting with the surgeon before I start my preop is an EKG, chest X-ray, labs and a 2 hr class about nutrition after sleeve. That's on feb 3. The next day I start my 2week preop diet and surgery is the 18th.
  21. have then check the gallbladder. Mine felt like I was being skewered all the way through by a sword.
  22. Rx tramadol (ultracet) helps my daughter and is not a NSAID. She'd go to the ER sometimes Bc of horrible cramps.
  23. First off, congrats on your new sleeve!!! You're on you're way to a new you. When my sister got sleeved they put an abdominal binder on her. You can get them at DME stores. You may wanna ask your dr if it's ok to use it. I know the way you feel, I've had c-sections that felt the same way. The binder is the way to go. Until you get one, take a pillow and hold it in against your tummy when you cough, laugh or get up and down. April
  24. Can't tolerate any flavor of bariatric advantage shake mixes. I'm pre-op and have tried mixing with everything from water, to skim milk to almond milk etc. I either throw them up or have diarrhea. The premier is something I can handle though. I don't know what's wrong with the others that bother my digestive tract.
