    Surgery tomorrow!

You will do great. Keep us posted. Take care.
  2. I had my surgery on Monday, Sept 16th in the morning. I went home on Tuesday in the evening. So one night.
  3. valky - Maybe call your surgeon's office and speak with a nurse. I was able to keep my meds down. Take care.
  4. I bet you will get your date soon. Good for you! I had my surgery 3 weeks ago. I'm cheering you on from the bench.

    First surgery

I had some pain, but not bad. Take the meds they give you. Don't try and tough it out. I have fibromyalgia, which is a pain disorder, so I feel pain. You maybe won't feel it so much. My nurses were great in attending to all my needs. I'm sure you will have the same.
  6. I was nauseous until I hit three weeks out from surgery. Keep taking your meds, and all of a sudden you will feel better one day.
  7. My surgery was on September 16. I have been nauseous since about week one. I do have a medication for it, but as soon as it wears off, I'm back to being sick. I have not thrown up yet, just feel sick. I'm still on all liquids, but get to start soft/pureed foods on Monday the 7th. Is it normal to have nausea like this?
  8. I had my surgery on Monday, and came home Tuesday night. The home health nurse removed my drain today. I'm doing pretty well. Still some pain...I'm thankful for the pain meds. Each day gets better. I'm having trouble getting all my protein in. I'm told that will come. I see my surgeon on Monday. I'm looking forward to that appointment. I wish all the best to the upcoming sleevers for next week. I did it - you can too.

    Still in the hospital

Sorry you have had some troubles. I hope you get to leave the hospital today. I got to come home on Tuesday. It's easier to recover at home if you have help. Take care.
  12. I am 4 days post op, and only getting about 25 grams of Protein in per day. I am getting enough Water as my output is good. I am only allowed to drink 15ccs every 15 minutes of water or Protein shakes. My surgeon's nurse says not to worry, the protein will come. It is more important to stay hydrated, which I'm doing pretty well on. Were you drinking more than 15ccs at a time at this stage? I've tried 30 ccs, and that has gone down ok. Thanks.
  13. I had my surgery on Monday. It was a little rough going at first, but I was able to go home on Tuesday night. I'm sore and still taking pain meds every 4 hours. I'm having trouble getting all my Water and Protein in. My surgeon's office told me to keep working at it. I have no regrets on having the surgery. I know I just have to get through this tough part. I think it will help to get my drain removed on Saturday. Home health care is going to do that. We can do this guys.
