  1. Question: Is the saying "Once a cheater... Always a cheater" true?

My situation: I am 36... Married with a 18 son & 17 year old daughter. I've been with my husband since I was 16 1/2 & him 21. After so many years of up & downs I found out that he was cheating- Three years into our relationship I caught him as well.

I found out about this last relationship... And that's why I got sleeved. This Nov. will mark my yr. anniversary post-op. I had been thinking about WLS for yrs, but I finally had enough courage to it! I wasn't sure if he was going to leave me, therefore I would lose my health coverage. At that point when I found out... He wanted to leave & I wanted to work things out. I begged him!

Since my surgery we are still "playing house" as husband & wife. He trys more now, but I am still very hurt & do not trust him. Now that I have lost wt. he is jealous & clingy. I have mixed feelings about this. In part it's nice, but it also offends me. Why the jealously now... Is it guilt... Or now that I am thinner - am I now worthy of your attention?!?!

Also... His cheating has opened up curiosity in me! Re: Another man... A different... happier future. I am not that type of woman... I am old-fashion. I was raised in a broken home. I know what it feels like to have step parents... Half siblings etc. And that is why I have always put my children first and remained married all these yrs. But my children are growing up... My son started college... My daughter will be a senior in H.S. next yr.

Do I stay with a man that I nolonger trust?

I know I will get the "Love" question... & Yes- after almost 20 yrs I have love for him... But I am not "in-love."

... Will he cheat on me again? How can I trust him?

Am I wasting my life away?

    I would Love honest feedback...

    Have you tryed councling yet?

  2. Hi thank you for your post. I am 21/2 weeks out and today I tried egg whites and boy my stomach hurt after , I got a little worried an then read your post . This eating slow is very hard for me! I am still mainly on liquids! Eat slow will be my new mantra !

I agree I am on soft foos and tried some baked fish and garlic noodles with winter mix could only eat about 2 bites of each and my stomach said wait what is this... :) I think I just ate it to fast will try again tomorrow but much slower!!!!

  3. It will take a few weeks. Be kind to yourself and do what you can and rest. It does get better. Like others have said' date=' I felt much stronger when I could eat more and excercise. I am almost 4 weeks out and I feel so much better. I've been cleaning and organizing everything since I still can't tackle the big things. But it is nice to start cleaning out the closet and seeing a difference in myself.......down 38 lbs total! 18 since surgery.[/quote']

    Congrats on you weight lost!!!!

  4. It took about two full weeks before I made my goal consistently with shakes. Then when I started eating again it took another adjustment to keep up with protien. I am 6 1/2 weeks out and still have at least one day a week that I do not get to goal. Some days my restriction seems tighter. Dr. Says that is perfectly normal, and to use my supplements when I need them.

I do know that I lose much better when I consistently reach goal. (40 pounds so far)

    Best of luck!

    How important are the shakes?

  5. I'm eating a combo of purées and mushy at this point...sort of at a transition point.

A lack of fiber' date=' I was told is the culprit of our troubles...[/quote']

Oh okay I hope I can find a Fiber pill . I thought mybe it was the Protein shakes which don't have fiber in tem but I will be trying to narrow it down. Lol I don't want to get in serious problems.

  6. Lol good luck! I was sleeved on 8/14' date=' and I too had crazy Constipation, the night before surgery was the worst, also for about 12 days post-op I didn't poop. Had to take a double dose of milk of magnesia and bamm!! I've been good since...[/quote']

Oh while do you have any ideal what caused it ? Are you off the mushy food yet?

  7. I'm 2 weeks out today and I'm still exhausted. I do a good amount of stuff during the day' date=' but end up having to take a nap mid day. But I'm just dragging my self :( when will the energy come in?[/quote']

Good evening you may need to eat more so your body will have something to feed off of. I will be 2 weeks on Tuesday and I felt like that at first and I realized that I had to eat a snack I between meals . Phase 2 foods. Hope this helps you also you have to be consitant with it .
