Go see your doctor. Start with an evaluation and fill. Stay on these boards and see what others are doing to achieve success. Eat protein, exercise, get plenty of sleep ( I know it's hard with a baby) and stay encouraged. You can do this!!!

All of God's blessing for a speedy recovery and success with your weight loss!!! Thank you, Jesus for this tool to help us. Use your tool. It's like having a way to get in touch with God through prayer and His Word and not using it. So, don't just let your band sit! Make it work for you!!

Congratulations! That is so awesome. My goal is to be 150lbs. I'm 35lbs away. I've made the committment to get there, too! I know which machine you're talking about in the gym. It's called the captains chair. I started out not being able to do but one. Now, I can say I can do 3 sets of 15,12, and then 10. You're just like me...shopping at the thrift store. I'm wearing a skirt right now that everyone is raving about. I got it at the thrift store for $2!!!! I love shopping now.
I just want to tell you to keep up the great work and enjoy the changes!

I didn't tell my family back in the States until they saw me with the weight loss. They were so surprised. By the time they saw me, there was no need to try to give me their opinion because it was already done! They saw the success and were happy for me.

I certainly hope you much success. I am just beginning my journey and trying to get my mind wrapped around losing before the surgery. I'm starting at about the same weight as you. I weighed in at 293.5 this morning. Two weeks ago, I weighed 283. I am so tired of yo-yo-ing. I am currently in Germany with the military and I hope Tricare doesn't fail me now. I went for blood work this morning and I have to do my psych and nutrition consults. I hope then to be on my way. Much success to you.

You're doing great!! I'm just beginning my journey and if I have even half the success of you, I'll be happy! Hang in there and don't give up.

I saw my doctor today and I finally got the nerve to ask her about WLS. I was scared, sweating, and had a million things running through my head. I just wanted to do it and wait to hear the lecture about good eating habits and exercise. Surprisingly, she said "if you're interested in that, here is the information you will need." She even put my consultations in immediately. I currently weigh 291 and I am 5'2. I am soooo ashamed to even post this but I know I must get it out in order to be free. I hope all goes well for me. I just want to be able to enjoy my life with my wonderful husband and 3 handsome boys. I have recently had knee problems and I can hardly climb stairs right now because of it. Needless to say, I can barely put lotion on my feet, fit in an airplane seat, and sit "indian" style on the floor with my kids. I do need this.
