  6. Just stopping by to say hello. How are things? Hope you're a 'loser' and getting closer to your goal. All the best to you and your success!

  7. You're doing great! Keep up the hard work! It pays off!

  8. Hi Tee,

We're about the same age and I wanted to see if I could offer you some advice from someone who has fallen off track as well. I've had a small setback and gained 20 pounds. I'm back on track now but the weight is moving slow! Give me some more details of your journey and I'll see if I can help!

  9. Hey Dear, Hope all is well for you. I am doing well. I'm stuck right now. I gained a bit but I've got that under control now. I haven't gained any more but have lost either. I'm pushing to get to my goal! I do realize that it takes time! I keep telling mysel this. You keep fighting the good fight! Don't lose hope. I pray for you blessings and weight loss and that you reach your goal.

  10. Congratulations on your weight loss and success so far. I'm glad you're back to work! I would suggest low fat yogurt cups. I add Protein powder to mine to give them a little boost. They are filling and no smell or mess. Also, I snack on no salt sunflower seeds to satisfy my need to have something in my mouth. I wish you all the best!
  11. Hi, Thanks for the add. You are truly beautiful. When did you have your surgery?

  12. Hey Greenlady, How are you? Get your fill? Hope so. Give me an update. Hope you've started drinking more water! I'm stalled right now but encouraged. I'm starting a new bootcamp at the gym and I know this will help me get past my plateau. I have 50 more pounds to go. Take care.

  13. Hi, I see that you're from SC as well. I'm from all the way across the state. How are yu and where are you in your journey. Just want to give you some encouragement and see how you're doing. Have a great one!

Do you still enjoy food after lapband...

I still do enjoy all kinds of food. I just don't enjoy as much of it! I live with the motto of moderation not elimination. Whatever you take out of your diet to lose weight is what you'll have to keep out of your diet to maintain that weight. I have a little, tiny bit of everything. I just can't eat all of it. That is the purpose of the band, to help with the amount of food you eat. I do exercise a lot! I do my part. I don't eat sweets for every meal but if there is an occasion where there is a dessert, I'll have some. I won't have 2nds or 3rds as in my previous life before the band but I do indulge in moderation. I don't want to live on a diet forever. I, personally, don't find that pleasurable. So, yes, I still do enjoy food. All the best to you on your journey!
  15. Just wanted to say "Hi" and hope you doing well. Have a great weekend!

  16. Hey Dawn,

Just checking on you to see how things are going for you. Send out an update! I'm sure you're doing well.

  17. Thanks for the kind words. I've worked very hard to lose weight and I still need to lose about 50 more lbs. It is a daily battle but with the band I'm progressing. I pray that you have success with your band journey. Remember to take it one day at a time! Oh and I love Wiesbaden. I'm still here since 2005!

    Did my band slip?

I don't want to scare you but you need to see your doctor right away. It could be a slipped band or something else. You shouldn't wait around or guess based on "maybe" or "could be". Go find out for sure! Acid in the throat at night is a sign of slippage especially after throwing up constantly. You can recover from a slipped band so all the best to you on your journey!

Need o get back on track

You ask how do you get back on track. For me, I just look at my old pictures. I see the old, depressed, disgusted, tired, happy on the outside but miserable on the inside me. It snaps me back everytime. I hate what I used to be so much until I don't ever want to go back there. Get an appointment immediately to see your doctor. This way you can see how much restriction you have and how much of a fill you need. We've all fallen off the wagon at one time or another. You are not alone. Life's situations do give us some hard blows sometimes but you must know that you can overcome them. Only 10-20 pounds is not bad at all. Beef up your exercise and Water intake. Get your old mindset back and go forward. You still have a lot of life ahead of you to live. Put yourself in a position to enjoy it. All the best to you!!!!!

    How do you stay healthy?!?!

Thanks for the advice. I usually do try to mix it up but I was just giving her a generic run down of what I was having yesterday! I do mix turkey instead of chicken and tuna. But, for me, just so that I do eat Breakfast, I stick with the yogurt or eggs. Nothing else stays down. So, that I don't skip, I change flavors of the yogurt and Protein. That's all the variety I can take right now. Any other suggestions for a breakfast that will stay down or that will go down? Bars are a no go. oatmeal made me vomit before banding, I can only imagine now. I do work and need it to be quick as I'm on the road by 6:30 am.

    How do you stay healthy?!?!

Hi, I went through the same thing. I was tired, couldn't get up, couldn't stay up, etc. I was hard-core exercising (still am) but had no energy. I looked at my diet and decided to change it. I began to add Protein to my yogurt (which had 6 gms). This boosted my morning amount of protein. When I didn't want yogurt in the morning, I had eggs with cheese. For lunch I changed to a salad with grilled chicken or tuna. And after working out I have a small, drained can of Water packed tuna. (This saves me from buying the $5 Protein Shakes at the gym). The tuna has 18 gms of protein and 80 calories. This fills me until dinner is ready. It helps me eat a smaller dinner. I have whatever my family is having for dinner; just a much smaller amount. I usually find that if I have nutritious and healthy meals for breakfast and lunch, I am satisfied in the evenings much easier with something more healthy or in a small amount. (Like Sunday, I had spaghetti but just a very small portion). All the best to you!

    HI AND HELP

That is almost 1/3 of the cost of the surgery with most practices. What kind of insurance is this? Call your insurance company and see if you can go elsewhere.
