  1. I had a great surgery and have had an even greater recovery. I am even allowed to eat whatever I want at this point, providing it's not real crispy/crunchy. Only 3 and half weeks out but doing great. I hope everyone else had an easy time. My only prob is now I have hit a stall, ALREADY.
  2. I'm only 3 and half weeks out and I've talked to my doctor in great length about what to eat, not eat and so on. He told me that he isn't going to tell me to go pig out (even if I wanted to I can't..lol) but an occassional happy meal from McD's isn't going to make me or break me. So, I think your chips and salsa is great.
  3. This made me laugh.....sorry. But, it's probably because you're eating ALOT of protein. (I'm assuming)
  4. I'm averaging between 500-700 calories a day. Some days I still struggle with my Protein, but, I hardly EVER get in my Water. I did measure today and have lost 5 inches off my waist. So, I know things are changing, just not the scale.......lol. It will come.
  5. I'm 3 weeks out today. Had my surgery on 10/21. I haven't lost a pound in over a week now. What is this about? I lost 10 in 2 week pre-op and 13 since surgery. Now i'm in a stall ALREADY. How can I get past this? It's a little irritating.
  6. Was sleeved on 10/21 with Dr. Marsden @ True Results.
  7. I was having an issue with water, UNTIL, i tried room temperature water. Now I can drink a bottle of water in about half an hour.
  8. That's exactly how I was. Then i started the soft food stage, mealtime is fun. You think wow I could eat this whole thing. you take 3 bites and you're done....lol....Love it, but how in the world am I ever going to get in my protein like this....lol
  9. I cannot tell you how nice it was to hear that there are others like me....lol. I was seriously afraid i had a leak and everything was just leaking into my gut leaving me a bottomless pit.........lol......NOT REALLY. But, that is what it felt like. I start soft foods on Friday. I've had oatmeal, tuna salad, cream of wheat, refried beans and eggs. So far the only thing I had an issue with were the eggs. Caused a little bit of queasiness and acid reflux.
  10. Wow. So nice to hear that someone is like myself. I truly feel blessed that I haven't had any trouble with drinking or the small eating I get to do. My pain has only been from gas in the beginning. Everything has just been so simple for me. My doc said there were lots of things in my favor that could've contributed to that. But, when i just keep reading how many are struggling, I just kept thinking is there ANYONE else that doesn't have problems. So, thanks so much for sharing.
  11. I read all of these posts and i just don't get it. I have been able to drink since day 1. I can also eat my soft foods in just a couple of minutes instead of the 15-20 minutes that I've heard its taking many. I'm starting to worry that maybe I'm pushing and shouldn't be or something's wrong.
  12. My doctor has said nothing about soups or cereals. So funny how every doctor is different.
  13. I'm so confused. How in the world are ya'll getting in those calories on a liquid diet. I'm just guessing you're still on liquid diets. ??
  14. LOL.....I have been wondering the same thing. This is the first day I actually got all my Proteins in and I could still drink more. I was starting to wonder if I'll ever full. But, I also haven't been hungry or thirsty which is the only reason I haven't been getting my liquid in.
  15. How do you know if you're dehydrated? Does it make you ill or something?
  16. How do you know if you're dehydrated? Do you feel ill or something?
  17. I'm so excited to get thru this week and then I get to start soft foods. I'm gonna make chicken salad and egg salad because they both have lots of protein. I think that will be my best bet.
  18. I'm not getting all mine in at this point either. I'm being reassured that it will come.
  19. Very strange feeling. Also not having trouble with liquids and really do feel pretty much normal. We've crossed to the other side...........lol
  20. Great question. I,too, am interested in knowing.
  21. Wow. Really liking this. lol.......
  22. I had surgery last Monday. All last week, I had the gas pains and was barely able to get down my liquids. Not because I was in pain, just didn't really want anything. But, this morning I woke up feeling "normal". No gas pain, able to drink normally, still not hungry at all, but, definitely feeling different. Is this normal?
  23. I'm not doing very well with getting allmy Protein or liquid in yet. I can seem to only get one Protein shake a day. Been sipping on beef broth and tea mostly
  24. Wow. 15 lbs. is great. I can only get down about half a protein shake a day and can't even get in half my water. My doctor isn't allowing me to have the creamy soups yet, just broth.
