  1. I am at a stall! Or something! I haven't loss in 5 days! But all in all I am still down 29lbs so that's better than zero! But how long do a stall last?

I lost 30lbs in my first 14 days and stalled until this past Wednesday (2wks). And I go to the gym everyday and swim everyday. Needless to say, I was about ready to break the scale....lol. now I am down another 2lbs. So 32 altogether.

  2. I was sleeved 8/28/13 and I'm still tired I still need a nap.. How long did it take you August sleeves to be back 100% or are you too still in recovery? Did y'all terry strips fall off yet or are they still on as well?

It took me 4wks to feel 100% and be able to go back to the gym.

  3. Hi everyone! I haven't posted in a while. It's been a looong journey.

My initial surgery was 8/12/13. I almost immediately began having problems getting fluids to stay down. After episodes of daily nonstop vomiting and dehydration' date=' I was admitted to the hospital on 8/22. I was NPO for most of my hospital stay. I couldn't even keep ice chips down.

After a failed attempt of a balloon dilation, my surgeon went back in on 8/31 to correct my sleeve. I woke up in excruciating pain that evening. My heart rate was extremely high during the night. The nurses were very concerned. My surgeon came in that morning and told me that he needed to go back in to check for a leak. After 6 hours of surgery, I was revised from the sleeve to RNY due to a small leak in my sleeve.

I've been doing much better since the revision. I'm hopeful that things will work out with my new pouch. Just nervous about dumping. But, I'm taking things one day at a time. :-)

    So glad you are alright.

  4. I finally got back to the gym today. I only did 20mins on the elliptical because I didn't know how my body would react and I didn't want to over do it. It felt good. Then I did 20laps in the pool. I am really amazed at how much more energy I have. Normally after I get home from dropping my kids off at school I go back to sleep cause I'm so tired but lately I'm wide awake.

  5. Well' date=' the bigger scan (where the stomach was pulled through) has this dent that's stitched to inside layers and it's supposed to pop on it's own after a certain amount if time...[/quote']

I have never heard of this. I had my incision above my belly button come open 2wks ago, which is common but never heard anything about the big incision.

  6. Yes I have' date=' the runs 3-4 x a day. I am now in the hospital with dehydration watch out for this 2 nod trip to hospital since surgery. I try to eat and I run.[/quote']

That's what I'm afraid of. I went from the runs to Constipation. They checked me for infection and it was negative but they want me to do another test to make sure it wasn't a false negative but now I can't go. I think I'm only at about 20oz of Water today. I just feel so bloated and swollen that when I drink its worse and starts to hurt cause I feels like I'm forcing water into a place that's full......if that makes sense.

  7. Has anyone had a really hard first 2-3wks. I have been so miserable. The first 2wks I had the runs 3x a day. Then since my doc switched me to stage 3 I haven't had a BM in 8 days. My doc doesn't want me to take anything right now but I'm so uncomfortable. I did take gasx but it doesn't seem to be helping.

  8. I was told to get Isopure since I had bad nausea with the new direction puddings' date=' but my hubby says GNC did not have the zero carb one I was given in the hospital. I'm 5 days post op, can I have this one?

    [/quote']

I believe that it is supposed to be less than 10gms of sugar but if you dilute it with some Water you should be OK.

  9. 4 days post op' date=' I went for a walk, yea the worse idea ever! Now I am really feeling it! But I am dropping weight so fast that Its scary! Highest weight: 260 Surgery weight: 247 Current weight: 238 Total loss: 22lbs in 3 weeks! That's two week liquid diet and 4 days post opt![/quote']

I am 17 post op and I still have pain when I walk but only if it's like at the grocery store. I lost a lot of weight quickly too. Starting-410 surgery-368 currently-338

  10. I am having a bit of lightheadedness and nausea' date=' took my meds when I woke up but I'm so nauseas that I can't even eat my pudding. Is this happening to anyone else?[/quote']

I had the same issues. I would recommend you get a quick dissolve anti nausea med from you doc. I am 17days out and still have to take mine every now and then so I can continue to get my liquids in.

  11. Hey all. So I got sleeved aug. 21st and wanted to make a quick post to see if you August sleeves were going through the same experiences as I or if anyone can relate. So' date=' as of today it's been 11 days since my surgery. My stomach is still pretty bloated and swollen, like its bigger than when I went into surgery. I have lost about ten pounds already but it doesn't seem like my stomach is going down. I can't eat ANYTHING. Everything pretty much hurts. Some days it hurts to even drink Water. I have a lot of chest pain and I can't even get mushy food down. I'm pretty much not eating **** and you would think being on a liquid diet for eleven days I would lose more than ten pounds right? Any experiences and advice welcomed! Thanks[/quote']

I was sleeved on the 15th and went through the same thing. The chest pain is probably gas. Try gas x strips. I lost 30lbs in 14days cause I couldn't eat and couldn't get in all my fluids plus I had the runs 3-4 times a day. I went to chicken broth and water for my 12th and 13th day cause everything was hurting and coming out. On day 14 I drank a Protein Drink and water and the next day I felt better. I still have to take some nausea meds but once I got that Protein drink in I felt better. I was moved to stage 3 foods and the runs have stopped. I am still struggling with my fluids but doing much better. It will get better. Hang in there.

  12. I am 4 days post op and having a very hard time getting my liquids in. I have to take small sips and space them out or I get dry heaves. Anyone else having similar issues? I don't want to end up getting dehydrated!

I am 14 days out and I have had a horrible 2wks. Whenever I ate or took a drink my stomach would cramp. I could drink my Protein Drink cause it was making me sick and I have had the hardest time getting in my fluids. On top of that it has been non stop runs. I saw my surgeon yesterday and he has me starting to get Protein back in now (had been on liquids only the last 3 days). So far today I am doing OK and I am hoping it all stays good. You might want to try an anti nausea med. I have to take one every now and then so I can drink my Water without feeling sick.

  13. This just happened to me today. I am 10 days out from surgery and one of my incisions opened up. My surgeon said to put a bandaid on it and it would heal on its own. The incision is like 2 inches wide and is like 1/2in deep. It kinda is freaking me out. I'm afraid if I wash it that it's going to hurt bad. Any suggestions?

  14. What? How the hell did you lose 21 pounds in seven days? Is that possible? Lol. Tell me your secret! Haha. Congrats!

Lol......that's what I said. I'm not getting as much Protein as I should be. Apparently my new smaller stomach does not like my Protein Drink anymore so I had to stop drinking it. I have been having a rough time. I just can't wait to move to stage 3 foods.
