Blondi418 got a reaction from valval in Preventative measures.... Body Wraps and compression garments. Do they work?
Thanks everyone, I was afraid it would be a waste but ya know I gotta ask. I would definitely rather have some sag than remain as I am, but y'all know how us women are with Body image and such. That being said, anyone self pay for "the plastics"?

I'm just a week out but I like the Premier Protein 100 cal shakes from SAMs they are only 8 oz but have 18g Protein. I like that they are small and not a huge shake.

This sounds weird but I plan on using the Baby Yogurt melts, they are crunchy and dissolve to a tiny bit of mush, and they are sweet and tangy. Hope it helps

I still adore EVERYTHING about food... eating it, smelling it, cooking it, shopping for it... Oh Glorious FOOD!
I watch food porn almost daily.. heck, on the plane ride home from my surgery, I watched food porn... the really seedy kind (diners drive thrus and dives)When I got back, I stayed with my sister to "recuperate" and I couldn't keep myself from doing all the cooking for her and her family.. even though I was on shakes only.
The only thing that I struggle with is making bread. I can not eat wheat products (not related to the sleeve, I found out a few months prior to the sleeve that I had this problem) and it SUCKS to have the smell of fresh bread which I know I can NEVER eat. grrrrrr. I was fine when I couldn't eat the food and I knew it was just temporary until my tummy healed.. and I was fine when I'm just low carbing it and there are foods I CHOOSE not to eat... but the BREAD drives me nutty because it's something I CAN'T have at all.

I agree, at first it sucks, and I even envied them a little bit because they got to enjoy and I couldn't. But after a while I started liking it again. After about 8 months I enjoyed it even more because I could have some of my cooking as well. All of my family ended up losing weight with me, ( not that they were over weight to begin with) because I would make the receipts with healthier ingredients.....they never even noticed the difference, but my husband and son benefitted the most because both of their guts went away. They still don't know why...lol

Blondi418 got a reaction from Kelsnikol in Preventative measures.... Body Wraps and compression garments. Do they work?
So here's the deal, I'm 25 years old pre-op and worried to death about "deflating body syndrome". I know working out will help, but the reality is I have to lose 160+ pounds and that is bound to leave a pretty good amount of jiggle. I have seen ads and testimony about body wraps and compression garments telling their miracle working abilities but has anyone tried them? I have no insurance and would have to pay out of pocket for "the plastics" not to mention I don't Love the idea of another surgery. I'm thinking that maybe doing a body wrap every month as I lose the weight would help with skin tightening. Or has anyone heard about the body compression garments. Please please I need some input on this. Thanks in advance.
