Jessleeved 2013 reacted to Indigo1991 in Wearing a belt - another first!
It's freezing in Scotland so I bought a new coat. It was quilted - something I would never have bought before as I would have looked like the Michelin tyre man - and it has a BELT!
I wore it for the first time today not intending to use the belt - no idea when I last wore one and thought I would look like a sack of tatties. But before I left, I buckled the belt to give my mind a treat and was shocked to see I looked ok! No lumps, bumps, I almost cried. My dietician said to me a couple of weeks ago that to others, I look normal sized but I am struggling to see it. But I saw it today. Woo hoooooo!

Jessleeved 2013 got a reaction from Crissigus in Headaches every morning
I had this same problem. Mine was due to the fact I was not eating enough. I know at this stage you are still on liquids and even though we have had surgery to curb your appetite your body still craves those calories. I started to notice my headaches went away after I was able to do soft foods.

Jessleeved 2013 got a reaction from Mel1071 in SO HAPPY!
I am a little over 6 weeks out from surgery and I am already off all meds!!!!!! I have been diabetic since the age of 10 and have been on and off meds for last 18 years but as of last week I have normal blood levels and no longer have to take my bp meds for the Protein in my urine. I cannot believe it happened so fast it feels awesome.

Jessleeved 2013 reacted to mom2five in 7 Months out, 119 pounds lost, 31 more to goal with Pic
I had my surgery on January 23, 2013. Since then, I've lost 119 pounds and I have 30 to go to reach my goal. I am 5 feet tall. My highest weight was 274. My weight now is 155. Before, I wore a size 24/26 jeans, now I'm in a 13/14. I used to wear size 3X shirts and now I wear Medium. Before, I was miserable. Now I feel great! I love my sleeve.
I do have a lot of saggy skin though. I'm hoping it will tighten up at some point. I do exercise a lot so I hope that helps. You can't really see the saggy skin in this pic but if you look closely at my thighs you can see it a little. You can REALLY see it from the front. I don't like it at all, but maybe someday I can get it fixed if it doesn't tighten up. My boobs are very very sad. I'm wearing a good supportive bra in this pic...but my boobs are just...bad. I'm definitely getting them fixed if at all possible!
Something that I think is interesting is that in the before pic, my thigh is 2 inches bigger than my waist is in the "now" pic! Seems so unreal!

Jessleeved 2013 got a reaction from SDH in Just Sleeved
Hi everyone I just wanted to introduce myself I am new to the forums but not new the site. When I started my journey I would always come here for answers to all my questions. I had my surgery August 14th of this year and I am still adjusting to a new life. So far I have not had any complications. I hope that on here I can make a few friends and have a good source of support while I go thru this journey.
