  1. Copy the bbCode and put it into the main signature box. It doesn't go into the attachment fields. I know mine took a couple of minutes to show, but hopefully this helps you. Just make sure that you save your signature when you are done.
  2. Hey everyone. I just wanted to send my prayers out to all of you who are having surgery this week. I hope that everything goes well!! ~Nichole
  3. So I'm really excited this morning. I'm on the two week liquid diet and am doing better. I've also lost 5 pounds on it this week!! It's exciting to see the weight come off and I'm really looking forward to seeing what's to come. It's hard to believe that my surgery is only 9 1/2 days away. Here are some of my goals: 1. To run a mile by this time next year (which I've never done). 2. To be there for my kids (when we have them) and not feel left out of things because of my weight. 3. To be able to shop in normal stores and out of the plus sizes. 4. To have the option to actually shop in Victoria's Secret. 5. To improve my sex life. 6. To feel better about myself (clothed & un-clothed)! I know I have more, but that's all I can think of right now.
  4. Hi Kelli! I too have to do the liquid diet for 2 weeks prior to surgery. I'm on day 4 of 14 and the only thing getting me through is that it's going to be worth it in the end! I do also get to eat either chicken (skinless) and egg whites, but I've found that that makes me more hungry. So I'm just trying to stick with the protein shakes as much as possible. Good luck. ~Nichole
  5. Patti, yes it is a possibility to get out the same day. It depends on your Dr and how well you are doing after surgery. I'm hoping to do the same thing since my surgery is at 8 am. ~Nichole
  6. Chimboree, Can you add me onto the calendar? I wasn't on the one you posted and I'd lik to print it out so I can have it. My surgery is on the 9th. Thanks, Nichole
  7. I'm new in this forum and just found this group!! I'm in my 2 week pre-op liquid only diet and it's been hard so far. I always feel hungry!! I'm having surgery in Arizona with Dr Debarros and am just ready for it to be here. I started this journey in February with my consultation and my day is just about here!! Good luck to all of you out here! ~Nichole
  8. Hi guys, my name is Nichole and I live up in Northern Arizona up on the rez. I'm getting my band done on July 9th and am getting excited. :whoo: I'm keeping a blog for myself at ngorman1025.blogspot.com and if you want to check it out, you are more than welcome!! Dr DeBarros is doing my surgery and I was lucky enough to have my insurance cover 100% (minus co-pays) of the surgery. They will also cover all of my band fills. I've had some problems with some people I have told about this surgery. Mostly my parents and a few friends. I'm doing this for myself and my health first and all the other good things after that. When I told my mom I was thinking about having it done, she asked me if my husband was making me do this. With her responding like that, it's really made me not want to tell her anything that's going on. Have any of you had problems with your family/friends accepting that you are doing this? I'm also wondering how you guys did on your 2 week liquid diet prior to surgery. I'm on day 3 and I'm feeling like I'm always hungry even when I'm drinking the Protein shakes. Any advice is much appreciated!! Thanks, ~Nichole
  9. Hi everyone. My name is Nichole Gorman and I'm having my surgery done on July 9th. I live in Northern Arizona and will be having my surgery done in Tempe by Dr DeBarros. I am on day 2 of my 2 week liquid diet and it's going ok. Just really hungry, but I'm sure that will get better or worse as the time goes on! I just wanted to introduce myself quick, but I'm sure that I'll be on more and more as my surgery gets closer.
