This seems to be the thread for me ... am about a month out from my surgery and well im flipping the hell out to say the least everything from mourning food to wondering how much access skinn i may have after dropping so much weight... i have never really been small so im not even sure if i will recognize myself after... i have always been a jock so im glad to be getting back to where i can do the things i love doing but seriously im having a hard time manning up in these my last days as a citizen of fatdom. I mean it took me a long time to become one with my fatness and now im turning my back on it .... sept 9th is the day ... i started eating to much as a coping mechanism to depression and skeletons in the closet... when i cant hide behind the fatass what will i do then?

ELENATION i know that sometimes i respond to the topic and end up sounding like a personal dig so i apologize for coming across like that. That being said ok let me stop dealing with extremes .... yes there is things that can prepare you for leadership roles ... but no there is nothing that can prepare you to deal with a 10 trillion dollar debt, a unjust war. it is something that takes alot of people to collectively think and come up with plans to correct theses issues.. No amount of experience can prepare you for that ...to be honest i only really said what i said because im just sick of seeing the experience argument because its unfair and untrue. So i guess i was responding to the experience thing and not you... I welcome opposing opinions but i have had a problem since HS i don't debate softly... i use strong and sometimes overbearing statements and viewpoints. and yes i do get passionate and say some things sometimes... i assure you that the only reason that they com across as they do is because we are writing and not in person....im a teddy bear that loved everybody... a new age hippy if you will ... yea i may lack tact at times but i have waisted too much of mu life trying to change who i am ... its time for me to just accept me for me( seriously there a long story there) so i guess sorry if i have offended in the past and sorry in advance cause ill probably offend in the future... And lastly i understand that you probably dont agree with anlot of my views... we have lead different lives have had different upbringings and vastly different experiences... in honesty i dont really need you to agree with me i need you to give me a reason to think differently.... but i am very opinionated so... arguments sometimes ensue. I have absolutely no faith in Obama to bring about any of the changes that he proposes. What i do however have faith in is his ability to organize People to make the changes Governments only work with the permission of the people and i believe that Obama can get the people organized to Force the changes that we want ... and i have to choose to believe that because that is the choice we have ... Because he is the nominee. It doesnt matter what decanting thought you hay have ... cause we are past that point... we are at the point where you have to choose Obama Or McBuch its that simple its one or the other there isn't a savior candidate thats going to come in from left field to swoop you off you feet and make you feel Perfectly Comfortable... there is no such thing as a perfect candidate and Barack is what you got so seriously ..... get over it make a decision and hold on for the smears cause the facts arin't going to change anytime soon. That may be true but we are at a time in our country where we need a president to be the president of the United States of American First and foremost. so IF that means that somebody gets a sour taste in their mouth ... so be it; and to sit here as act as though mccain or clinton have any more experience that trumps Obama but just holding a senate seat is naive and preposterous. The fact is that though the leadership he has shown in just the organization that he has put together already shows such leader ship.... seriously people what do you even mean by experience .... what on this planet could possibly prepare you for the Presidency of the most powerful nation on the planet.... what possible situation is similar to the need that this country faced... Mccain and Clinton believe that they can work hard and stand up and make things happen because of who they are and who they represent. Obama has the audacity to stand up and say that he can get things dome because we will be working just as hard and we will make the moves and the changes .... look back obama has a lot of ideas that mimic the president that took us out of the last depression .... some of his policies are similar to FDR ...( if your not aware of what he did.... look it up) Seriously experience exsmerience. The fact of the matter is that unless the candidate was a Governor then that person is unexperienced to sit in that chair. Bill Gates was not experienced Sergey Brin & Larry Page were not experienced Thomas Anderson was not experienced George Washington was not experienced nor were half the leaders on this planet... so give it a rest of the experience angle already its getting old and its not going to change anyones mind. And if that is still a issue for you then by all means feel free to either vote against what you believe in or stay home on election day because he is the Democratic Nominee and thats all she wrote either fall in line or get off the train ... because if you cant see the leadership capability in that man then you are just as blind as the GOP and religions extremist themselves. People are dying everyday over a lie the American way of life is disappearing by the oil barrel and you want to have useless debate about experience when experience up to this point has counted for nothing. Be real... Bush is on his way out and trying for force us into another war that he wont even have to deal with and you want to talk about experience. My fault.... I got carried away..... I’ll do better I do disagree about the use of language and cursing comes into play when emotions have gotten the best of you. I knew very well what I was saying I wasn't emotional if the time permitted me I would have done what I normally try to do and be as polite and PC and articulate as possible. But I was running late for a meeting and it was quicker to just use the expletive than to search my vocabulary and decide on proper verbiage to accurately express my emotion and passion for the topic at hand. There are situations for both when you are waist deep in work and late for a meeting cause you were reading a thread that you are really into, and your point must be made; then articulate and well thought out wording is not in the two minute drill play book. I apologies for anyone who was offended by the language that I was using … The only defense I elevate is that we are all adults hear; we can look past a little colorful language once in a while. My intention was to express my distain for any form of media that blatantly lie or fabricate news and I am extraordinarily passionate about that; because it is how some people are expected to make informed decisions it is of the utmost importance that if it can’t stay unbiased that it at least be unquestionably truthful. It undermines the intelligence and moral compass of this nation. So I hope my point is revealed by this post and the debate can continue.

I don't want them to shut up .... as far as how they want to spin something do what you do boo boo but when they start (as they do) outright lying and making things up i have a problem. I remember when i first created this post i was frustrated because my father ( who was in the Civil Rights Struggle) was so pessimistic about Obama s candidacy that i literally depressed me. I mean honest to God I never thought that i would see this day in my lifetime... simply on the basis that i know the history and i know the recent past and it hasn't been too positive of a out look. I am play uncle to 9 neices and nephews and to thing that when they hear me or their parent say that you can be anything you want in this world if you live right and work hard enough and not have it laced with complete BS...:thumbup: i mean it make me want to go into my old neibor hoods and telling some of the people i once knew who never thought working hard is worth it, i want to grab them point and Hillary and Obama and say look at them... the times have changed ... there are more options. the only thing that i can wish more for at this point is please God let him win the Big Show.:tongue2: BTW... my father still doesnt want to put even in the slightest hope that Obama might win.
