    Menstrual cycles

I was sleeved on August 30th, 2013, I had one BIGGIE period in September and none since then. My doc doesn't seem too alarmed. I see him again tomorrow. I'm not pregnant, we are both "fixed". Would like to know as well if anyone has had period problems. Thanks for posting!

    Feeling Too Full, Too Fast

I am 3 1/2 months post op and I am feeling it! Just recently though. When I go out to eat, I feel it the most. This past weekend had a soft taco (insides only) and refried Beans and was only able to eat a couple bites of each. I had ordered a salad and tried to nibble on that too...made for an uncomfortable "Pete" (AKA my sleeve). Well at least the dog had a great lunch!!

    Coffee

I'm 2 months post op, and my Dr ok'd it. I have a cup in the morning and add Good Health protein hot chocolate to it. 15 grams of protein. It's like a drinking a mocha. Yummy!!

    tall female sleevers...

I'm 5'9, starting weight 233, goal weight 140. My Dr. was fine with that. I know it's an ambitious goal, but I didn't go through this surgery to be just ok with a weight. I need to give this my all!! Power to the Amazon Ladies!!
  5. Geeze oh geeze...this is just one of the things that I'm dreading! I've heard of bad BO too! Mints, lotion and extra, extra strength deodorant, please save me!!!!

    Suspicions....

Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
  7. OMG!! I'm almost in Onederland, and I didn't even know it!! Thanks for letting me know.
  8. I see people talking about it...but what is "it"?
  9. OK...so I find myself a little hungry after shopping for hours...didn't think I would be or I would have brought a "snack". I go to the dreaded food court....there is Eriks Deli, Pizza, Carl's Jr., Cold Stone, Starbucks, Korean, Chinese, Great Potato something, Hot Dog on a Stick and Jamba Juice. I ended up getting a small Jamba Juice Protein Berry Workout Smoothie with an extra scoop of whey protein. 290 Calories!! 27 Grams Protein. That is 1/2 of my daily calories. So where would you have gone? P.S. I did eat before I left the house.

    FitBit Anyone?

I'm 5 weeks post op. I just bought a Fitbit Flex (two weeks now) and I really like it! I wear it all the time. However, since I have an older iPhone it doesn't sync but it does come with a wireless USB dongle which I hooked up with my home computer. I can't wait to get home from work and sync to see how many steps I did! I track my food through Myfitnesspal and you can sync them. It tracks your sleep patterns. It's amazing how many times I wake up at night, don't even ask how many times I am "restless"! At $99, it's a great motivator. I highly recommend it.
  11. Vitafusion Women's Multi,Vitamin, Mixed Berries, I take two. They taste like gummy bears. Viactiv for calcium tastes like chocolate! I take 3.
  12. I have a date Friday night! Whoo hoo!! However, we are going out to dinner. I will be 6 weeks out, so I really don't eat much. I've gone out before and order an appetizer and don't even finish that. Do I tell him that I've had WLS and that's why I don't eat much? Or do I just say "Food really doesn't appeal to me. Can't you tell?"

Turning a corner with hair loss?.

Honestly, This IS something I am not looking forward to. I know it's coming...just don't want it to. I've also heard there is a time where you get bad breath and really bad BO. Just not wanting to deal with the "bad".

Post-Op 3 weeks and Starving! What to eat?

Every Doc is different. I am 24 days post op and have been on "soft foods" starting after 2nd week. I didn't have to do the puréed stage. My diet consists of cottage cheese, turkey chili (no beans), refried beans with melted laughing cow cheese, egg whites, hard boiled eggs, SF pudding, Greek yogurt, tilapia, tuna and chicken salad, thin sliced turkey meat rolled with a little bit of reduced fat Swiss cheese. I still drink my protein drinks to get up to the 90 grams my Doc wants a day. Sign up for My Fitness Pal, that helped me a lot with keeping track of calories, protein and liquid intake. Also take a look at The world According to Eggehead.com. She has some yummy and easy looking recipes. I am looking forward to making as soon I can! I hope this helps.
  15. Oh boy...me too! My Doc told me that the sutures are really tight inside, and that is the largest of the incisions, so it takes more time to heal. I am 3 weeks post op today and I still need to hold my hand there when I go for my walks. I feel I look like Napoleon! As I continually read on this site...This too shall pass!!
