    starving!

I am right there with you. I am 12 days post op and I felt the same way as you. What has helped me is making sure that I have protein in my beverages as well. I use the Kellogg's Special K protein and fiber packets. It is 30 calories with 5 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber. I can say that it gets a little better with full liquids, but not great. I have ventured off my surgeon/dietian's diet progression by adding in cottage cheese in week two and pureeing some foods to eat. This has seemed to help the hunger as there is more substance to what I am putting in me. Hope this helps some and keep fighting.

    Diet Progression

    Thanks for all the responses.
  3. I wanted to see what other's diet progression is. My surgeon/dietitian has a standard progression of one week of clear liquids, two weeks of full liquids, then two week of pureed foods. I have been reading other sleevers talk about how they are doing pureed foods within the first week or so. I wanted to find out if my diet progression is typical or extra conservative. Also, wanted to see what kind of calories people are taking in.

    Sleeved 8/7 in TJ

I was sleeved on 8/5 and too feel hungry a good amount of the time. If I have a drink with protein in it really helps and tends to hold of the hunger sensations. I like the Ensure Clear Blueberry Pomegranate. The good thing is that now I can get in my 30+oz of liquids. Good luck and keep fighting the good fight.
