    Post Op Day 2

I was also sleeved on Monday! Praise God that I didn't have any complications. I can sip but then the gas pains kick in. I expected my incision site to be sore for a while. But this gas in unforgivable... We got to hang in there ladies!

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

OMG! 16 Dec.2nd Sleevers!!! My hats off to all my December 2nd sisters/brothers who have made it this far on their pre-op diet. To everyone else who is with me that starts tomorrow. We can't let them or ourselves down. I've been a mad women (in my mind) since Friday. But I won my weekend battle. Instead of going all out for my "last supper" I restrained. Friday I did a shake for breakfast, a small salad for lunch and a very light dinner. Saturday I had two shakes, a hand full of chips (I couldn't eat just one), a small slice of birthday cake, and two bites of a pork chop. Today I did my two shakes, a cup of broth (from my sons soup at lunch, a piece of boneless chicken thigh and a spoon of broccoli. Oh let me not forget the half of cupcake. This has not been easy. Everything in me wanted to go to the Texas Roadhouse. I'm already having crazy headaches. The real challenge is yet to come. My son and I are flying out in the morning to D.C. I have to survive a week of my family drinking and eating. This is going to be a true test of how much I want to change my life. Bring it on!!! Good luck to all and keep pushing ahead!

    Hot Doctor........

My pre-op diet starts nov 30 im a mess cuz idk how ill take this.... regaurding taking out meals andadding shakes friday ita w.e works for you mama..but that sounds like a good idea This is ridiculous! I've done some crazy diets in my day. Now I'm stressing over something like this. I think that I would do better if I lived by myself. My husband will probably sabotage me unknowingly. My five year old son always wants me to taste his food. Our pantry is full of his Snacks. This will be a try test do will. We have to look at it as our fasting and prayer. Because that's what it's going to take to make it through. Lots of Prayers.

    Hot Doctor........

LOL! Sorry, maybe you'll have a Hot male nurse! I start my pre-op diet on Monday! I'm lucky that I only have 7 days to go through withdrawals. It's like a war zone inside my head trying not to binge. I'm thinking about starting my shakes Friday. Then cutting out a meal day by day. Maybe by Monday I won't be a "Hot Mess".

    Hot Doctor........

LOL! Okay, I'll behave. But I have to do something to get me through this. I start Monday. Four more days:(. I'm trying not too go crazy and binge. It's like a war zone in my head. I saw your one post. Girl, you got me scared! Do you think I should start taking out meals and adding my shakes Friday? Then maybe by Monday it won't be as bad?
  7. I had my post-op appointment and finally met my doctor today. Let's just say that he is very pleasing to the eye:) The original doctor that I saw at my seminar was an older man. He is very popular and they asked if I wanted to go with his partner for to get an earlier date. Yes, of Course. I had researched him but never seen a picture. I'm so glad that my husband didn't come to this appointment. I didn't know that at 40 I could still blush like that. He's just another reason that I'm ready! Come on December 2nd. Anyone else with a "Hot Doc"?

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

To all my sister/brother Dec. 2nd sleevers! OMG!!! Before I start I'd like to say "Thank you God" for this support group. Okay, so I just came from my post-op appointment and finally meet my surgeon. That's another OMG! He was so tall, handsome, great personality and what a hand shake! I'm so glad that my husband wasn't with me:) Everything is set and on track. I start my liquid diet on Monday. 3 Protein shakes and liquids:( I'm not too much worried about Thanksgiving. My plan is to send my husband and son down the street to the neighbors for dinner. I'll take myself to the movies during dinner. It actually feels good to not have to worry about stuffing myself silly and then regretting it the next day. Then after my regrets I stuff away again. Not anymore. Too all of my Dec. 2nd's whose already started your liquid diet, Hang in there! Here We Go!
  9. LOL! I may have to steal that idea. I'll hang mine in my closet.
  10. Thongs........................!!!!! It's been so many moons since my husband has seen me in a pair of thongs. I have not stepped foot into Victoria Secrets in years. Honestly, I never thought that I would be able to buy anything from them again. Right, other than lotion. Oh don't even get me started on buying a regular size bra. What is a regular size anyway? Okay I'm just going to daydream now. Red lace, black lace, nighties, matching sets...............

    Anxious About Surgery

Okay Mrs. Neicey we can be a little anxious together. My surgery date is December the 2nd. I'm more of a ball of mixed emotions. I think that my husband is going to choke me if I talk about it one more time. I feel as if I'm obsessing over it. I'm trying to keep myself busy. But in the middle of every other thought is something about this surgery. I thought waiting for my approval was bad, nope. Let's try focus on all that lies ahead. We can lean on each other through the next three weeks. Hang in there!

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

Hi, my name is Alysha and I'm proud to finally say that "I'm a December Sleever"! My surgery date is December 2nd. Yeah!!! As you can tell I'm a little excited. My husband says that he's never seen anyone so excited about having major surgery. Right, Exactly he's never had a BMI of 40. (Wait, I just noticed there's not tickers. Sad face) Back too me! I just turned 40, a stay-at-home mom of a wonder five year old son "Ty", a wife and a four year cancer survivor. I was approved by UHC and have been going through this process since the beginning of the year. I thought this day would never come and I'm glad its here. Height 5 9" HW 289 CW 260 GW 180 would be nice!
  14. I've always leaned on the thought that God places people into and out of our lives for a reason. Maybe God is making room for your new season. My surgery date is also December 2nd. We are getting ready to shed away the old weight and baggage to make room for the new. "Its all a part of the plan"
  15. OMG!!! Merry Christmas to you! I'm scheduled for December 2nd! So don't feel bad, I get to smell all of the Thanksgiving dinner while I'm on liquids:( Congrats on your date! Now we can start a new post worrying about what's next.
