ReEstDec2013 reacted to natmo2431 for a blog entry, Hitting my first milestone!
This is me, 30 pounds lighter! I think it all came from my face, neck and feet but I'm starting to like the way I look!

Today, after 2 and a half weeks of being on a stall, I hit my first milestone. I not only finally hit the 30 pound mark, but I also have less then 100 pounds to go!

    WHOOPWHOOP!!

I didn't really think it was a big deal to set little goals, but this feeling is wonderful today! Especially with being so frustrated not moving the scale at all (even though my clothes all are baggy and falling off me, and I was able to buy a shirt from a store I haven't shopped at since I was in high school).

So today I decided these little goals are a big deal and that I need to start setting some. I overall said I wanted my first big goal to be getting the Onederland (under 200 pounds). But I think setting mini goals along the way helps keep you motivated and feeling accomplished. So here are some of my goals:

    Weight Goals
    1: Lose 30 pounds DONE
2: Have less then 100 pounds to lose DONE
3: Weigh less then 225 pounds (smallest weight I have been in the past 7 years)
    4: Make it to Onederland
    5: Weigh 190
    6: Weigh 175
7: Weigh 160 (my weight pretty much all through high school)
    8: Weigh 150
    9: Weigh 145
    10:Weigh 140
11: Reach my goal of 135
12: Reach a single digit size pair of pants/jeans (unsure at what weight that may be)

    Fitness Goals:
1: Run a mile in less then 10 minutes
2: Run a 5K (by next spring... Couch to 5K work your magic!)
    3: Become a jogger.
4: Ride in the "Ride for Missing Children" bicycle ride (100 miles in 2015)
    5: Become a Zumba instructor
    6: Run a 10K

Now I know getting down to 135 might be a little far fetch for me, and I might adjust the goal as I go, but I think if I put my mind to it I could get there!

I'd love to hear some peoples goals they have set for themselves!

I have to say that reading blogs and viewing photos are so inspirational to me. When I made the decision to have this surgery it took me a year to say "I am going to do it". Now I am so excited to know that I am making the right choice for me and only me. I can't wait to have my surgery which is scheduled for Dec. 26th, 2013.
Just want to thank everyone on here for the good and bad stories reguarding their experiences and I wish EVERYONE success on their healthy weight loss journey!

ReEstDec2013 got a reaction from skor29 for a blog entry, 3rd Insurance Visit Down... 3 More to go!
So I had my 3rd NUT visit towards my 6 visits for insurance coverage. Down another pound and I am shocked! Shocked because August was a BAD month for me. Most of all happy I didn't gain. So I went from 286 to now 279. Going to do my best this month and try to loose at least 3 to 5 pounds. Would at least like to be down another 9 pounds prior to surgery. Fingers crossed I will make it. Not 100% sure because the holiday season is the worst time for me.
Happy Weight Loss Journey to you all!

ReEstDec2013 reacted to MWilliams42 for a blog entry, It MOVED!
Well...GOOD morning!!!! I took the advice I was given and ran with it! I am trying...trying...trying to up my calorie intake, that is very difficult, but I am managing!!! SOOOOOOOOOOOOO...as the title states, IT MOVED!!! The scale, it moved, it moved, it moved!!! And I got so excited, I told my hubs...he likes to joke around and he said, "well the scale does move when you get on!!" I just said, "HONEY!!" He laughed and I said my stall is gone for now, now that makes me HAPPY!!! It was stuck, on 208 forever! NOW...it reads 203.8!!! Yippee!!! I have to say, we are all on this journey and I am super thankful, daily, that I have the support that I have, and I will help be a support to anyone who needs it! This is for the rest of our lives and that is the really exciting part!!! We get to have energy, function without losing our breath, exercise and not still be jiggling even when we are done, live longer, have a healthy relationship with food, give our families the BEST of us...the list goes on and on! I'm just so excited to see and hear about everyone's progress, it just makes me smile!!!

ReEstDec2013 reacted to nygurl for a blog entry, ALMOST there
ALMOST there!! Hit the scale today at 175, that means a total loss of 80 pounds since my pre-op weight (65 post op). I'm comfortably in a size 8 (from a size 18/20)...and I'm loving my new life.
I was blessed with a recent change to meet my all-time FAVORITE band (Rascal Flatts) just this past month. I was so happy to be able to go and enjoy myself and take pictures and not worry about how I looked, or what people were thinking. It's amazing how much this life-change has really put my entire life in a new perspective. I didn't realize how lacking my confidence was...actually I always prided myself on being a confident woman, but I didn't see how much I was holding back until I lost the weight.
I had the joy of attending my daughter's Back-To-School Night last week, her 2nd grade teacher (from 2 years ago) didn't even recognize me.
For those of you that are struggling or are in the early stages of this change...keep the faith- you CAN do this, and I promise you it will be worth it's weight in gold when you are living your new life. For those of you debating on doing it...I cannot promise you an easy path, I can't say for certian you won't have complications or problems- but I can tell you- without any doubt, this is the best thing I've ever done for myself, for my children, for my family, and for my own happiness.

Ok, just wanted to drop a quick update on everyone- OFF TO WALK ON LUNCH!!!
    XOXXOXOXO
