  1. Glad I am not the only one who stalks. LOL!
  2. Happy Birthday and what a birthday it is....
  3. I haven't sleeved yet, but I know the things I would appreciate is: 1) able to walk, climb stairs and dance without feeling light headed/dizzy, chest pains and breathing hard. 2) more energy at home and work 3) able to paint my toe nails on my own without feeling like I am breaking my legs. 4) eating healthier 5) crossing my legs 6) clothes fitting That is all that comes to mind now, but I know after surgery and a couple of months other things I don't realize now will become apparent to me. Looking forward to being sleeved!
  4. FABULOUS! You are at my goal weight and we are pretty much the same height & your past weight (I am 5'8 and 278). CONGRATS! So excited for you!
  5. It is the little things that makes a HUGE difference. CONGRATS!
  6. Thank you for sharing. Very inspirational!
  7. Haven't thought about it other than shopping for new clothes (in my daughters' closets...LOL). Would love to go on a nice "adult" trip and show off my new bod...hehehehe Hopefully I won't have any sagging skin. Overall, would just enjoy life!
  8. Happy Birthday and enjoy what you can.
  9. Congrats on your speedy weight loss!
  10. Me too... I heard some people return within 5 days. I guess it depends on what you do. I am an office worker so I am really hoping to return within a week, the max 2.
  11. Really good topic and fun to read people's responses. Mine is re-establish December 2013 because Dec 2013 is when I will be sleeved and will be starting a new healthier life.
  12. Funny how I had pretty much the same response from friends and even my husband. I guess I will find out soon enough if they will remain my friends after my surgery. As for my husband, I think he is more nervous I am going to look like my sister who had the gastric bypass from 400 lbs to 140 lbs and she does not look well at all. A lot of sagging skin. So for him, I think he is scared I will look like that or so I hope that is his concern. Time will tell. You look FABULOUS and seeing your pics is so inspirational. Congrats on your success!!!
  13. WOW! I am so amped! Can't wait to have my surgery. You all are so inspirational.
  14. Now THAT is how I would like to look like! You look GREAT!
  15. Thank you! Will join. So excited and congrats to you too. Looking forward to seeing the December Sleevers success.
  16. My sister who had the gastric bypass was about 400 lbs and now she is below 140. She looks sick, weak. Plus she has a tune of sagging skin. She and I were at the same height, 5'9. I don't want to look like that, but at the same time I am not 400 lbs. At my heaviest I was 290 and was just weighed in on Tues with my NUT at 278. I know I shrank because my daughter who is 5'7 was looking taller to me. We both thought she got taller, but in fact I was the one that shrunk which surprised me. Took my height again at home and I am still 5'8. Wonder too if I will go back to 5'9 once the weight drops. I know my shoe size changes when I drop weight. Weird how that works....
  17. Wishing you a speedy recovery. From what I read on here it will end and you will be on your way to a healthier you. Keep positive!
  18. Wondering how do you count your protein/carb intake when you are on solids. For example, if I cook my own meal how do I know what I am consuming to keep myself on track? Just wondering????
  19. Amazing results! Congrats and I wish you continue success on your journey to a healthier you.
  20. So excited! And it is going so darn fast! Started my journey in May 2013 and now we are in November. WOW! Where did the time go???? My surgery is schedule in December. Had my 4th visit to my NUT yesterday and I lost a pound. Could have lost more, but going through some personal stuff which shouldn't be an excuse. Something I need to learn moving forward not to stop me from doing ME! The closer my surgery date grows the more excited and nervous I am getting. Just so ready to get it done and be a healthier me.
  21. This is encouraging to hear. Much success on your journey.
